Hello Mesmer community. I’d like some help with creating a viable shatter damage build with decent defenses. I’ve tried a few different shatter builds that focused on domination and dueling trait lines but haven’t been able to achieve the spike damage that I’ve seen other Mesmers dish out. In fact, yesterday I ran across a Mesmer who shattered his clones on me for an amount in excess of 14k damage. It was a shock and awe moment, and I would have asked him for advice, but because he was one of those extremely ego driven hostile types, map shouting that I was a scrub as soon as I had gone down, I decided to ask my question in a less volatile environment. Hence, here I am. What can I do to improve my shatter damage? Here is a link to the build I’ve got so far. Any help would be appreciated.

14k is pretty extreme; I would think he would be running 10/30/0/0/30 for Illusory Persona and Empowered Mantras. Stack some extra Might on himself and he could maybe possibly do somewhere near 14k.

You had to have had a pretty good stack of Vulnerability on you too …

It happened so fast I am not too sure about what actually occurred. You are probably right, though, that I did have vulnerability on me; because he was using a great sword I imagine he did mind stab me.

Are you sure all 14k was from Mind Wrack?

Yes. I am positive.
