hey guys im looking for a wvw roaming build here my gear is full zerker. Im goin to use mainhand S/F and off hand GS or Staff pretty much w/e im feeling at the time. Ive spent a good amount of time on my mes lately and i want an extremely high damage build. I find survivng on the mesmer is easy due to all the shatters. Im thinking of running a 30/20/0/0/20 build taking the following traits.
Domination: rending shatter(IV) and mental torment (1), then either GS training or empowered illusions…. focusing mainly on i zerker skill 2 and dodge followed by a mind wrack for my opener. I cant decide which trait would be better here.(PLEASE HELP)
Dueling: standard Blade training, Deceptive evasion
Illusions: illusionary invigoration, precise wrack

I know many are a big fan of the extra self shatter personally… i am not i find that a stronger opening/aoe mass damage with the GS helps when outnumbered/roaming in pvp. I am also open to suggestions of how i should tweak the build when i am using the staff vs GS as i am honestly a fan of both. As i said i am not to worried with survivability my skills are for that but i want to bring people down hard and fast.
P.S. if anyone has suggestions on runes id also be open to them i am debating between eagle,scholar,and air atm.

If you’re going 30/20/0/0/20, Staff is out of the question. Just run GS and use Greatsword Training. If you REALLY want Empowered Illusions, drop Rending Shatter, but that’s not going to help you much. You might also want to consider the remove boon on shatter trait, shattered concentration. It definitely helps against professions/builds that

Don’t get Eagle runes in WvW since you’ll never be full health (and in the rare situations that you are, you don’t need the bonus damage). Scholar, Air, Ruby Orbs, Centaur and Divinity are your best choices, but it’s all preference. Merging sigils of air/fire with air runes lets you get massive bursts out, but divinity/orbs/scholar are more sustained dps (kinda awkward saying that when your dps is all from crits, which IS a nuke and not really sustained). Centaur is if you want to move fast since you ARE roaming.

If you’re going to use a staff, you might want to overhaul the entire traits and run either 20/20/0/0/30 or 0/20/20/0/30 or 0/20/0/20/30, you get the point. You would trait for staff or focus and then get a minor in one of the respective trees. For Illusions, you would grab iPersona and get in peoples face more.

ty for the info…runes of eagle due an extra 5 percent when the target is blow 50 percent health. It has nothing to do with ur max health… thats rune of the scholar i believe which gives u 10 percent xtra over 90 percent health. I just found in spvp when i ran them after the initial burst people just melted to mirror images dodge roll daze shatter 23 stacks vulnerability sword 2. Runes of divinity are what im using on my thief but there so kittening expensive. i love the remove boon on shatter for spvp so imay look into that. Do you have any personal experience with scholar or divinity runes by chance.
