How do you deal with Elementalists??
Dagger eles are a shadow of their former selves. If you can’t catch up to them now that ride the lighting is on a 40 sec CD when it doesn’t land a target, you’ll have no hope. If they summon their fire GS to escape, you’ll never be able to catch them at all. Greatsword is also a weak pvp weapon in general, and without a staff you’ll be kinda easy to kill if your build doesn’t have strong defenses.
Anyway, ether renewal the cleanse all condi heal, is incredibly easy to interrupt as the channel is like 3-4 seconds and the animation is obvious. Eles are most vulnerable when leaving water attunement, and if theyre specced to go back into it after 9 seconds they probably can’t deal too much damage to you. S/D builds are more of a threat due to hard to dodge air burst, but dodge their fire and earth burst combos and they have nothing.

Taking something that can interrupt ride the lightning is important to being able to catch a dagger offhand ele. If you let rtl go the full distance, they are very difficult to catch.

Oh yeah! I know from personal experience that getting immobolized right before activating RtL is basically instant death for eles. Too bad we only really have one short immobolize.

you can use the trait the an interrupt immobilises the target which is awesome vs ele

With ease. They arent a challenge. They go zerker and all you have to do is dodge an attack/stealth and then they are kittened. They go bunker and they wont have the damage to kill you but they also wont be able to deal with your damage so best for them would be a draw and finding the closest zerg or tower.
