How many mesmers do you have and what do you use them for? I just made my 4th, but I deleted one so now I have 3. One in assassin for mantras, pve. Sinister for pve hoping for bleeding buffs and now my third I have no idea what for, I guess wvw roaming

Three, my main, a human female, a Lv.1 human male (for testing out how stuff looks, just in case I’d want to gender change my main to achieve a certain appearance) and the Beta character, though I guess that’s a “Chronomancer”. I don’t personally see a purpose in having more than one, as it’s not like it costs anything to switch between builds when you already have the gear for it.

There can only be one.

I hate alts (the only alt I truly got attached to was my Charr melee power ranger although that was for kittening people off in pvp).

Two. I got my asura mesmer that was my first character. Then I made a sylvari mesmer some time ago after I got bored of the asura animations.

• Sylvari female (main): power shatterupt small scale/solo WvW roaming
• Charr female (main alt): power sniper/support for WvW raids
• Asura male: hybrid shatter small scale/solo WvW roaming
• Norn male: TROLOLOL celestial bunker hotjoin hero – also doubles as a lighthouse
• Human female: PVE…?

I can’t tell how many mesmer characters i have, so many clones on character select screen

I started with a human mesmer and got to 60 when u realised I hate the voice of and look. So, I rolled a char and started over. Haven’t needed the slot just yet, so the first is just relaxing.

2. One for power, one for condi.
I may try bunker when chrono comes out, which may justify having 3.

There are two costs to switching between builds “when you already have the gear for it”:
1. The time it takes to switch out gear
2. The space that gear occupies in your bank or inventory

Bank space isn’t exactly cheap, neither is my time.

Just the one, a male sylvari. Though I really like asura animations, so if I ever make a second one, he/she’ll be an asura.

2 – Human and asura.

Human mes is general purpose. She is my “main” mesmer. The asura was created primarily for jumping puzzles. She’ll probably be transitioned to pvp usage in the near future.

Around 9 (3 on main account, and have at least 1 on my other accounts).

i had one of each race at one point, all lvl 80, but i ended up deleting most of them and now I only have a sylvari and human

Personally I don’t see much point in having multiples of the same class. I already have 2+ gear sets on my mesmer, and 400 gems for an extra bag slot for more build reliant stuff is cheaper than 800 gems for a second character.
