In Thaumanova Reactor I saw another chronomancer triple blink across the burning room. Can someone explain how this is done? He used Continuum Rift, so initially I thought he was Mimicking Mimic but apparently that is not possible.

Thanks!

My own opinion on the matter (not that I have tried it)
CS
Blink
CS ends, blinks back with skill of cd
blink again elsewhere

Another way with mimic:
CS > blink > CS ends> Mimic > blink > blink
Mimic > (while casting) > CS > mimic goes on CD > CS ends> Mimic goes off cd with effect still in place > Blink > mimic again > blink > blink

He could have phase retreated using staff 2 after mimic blink

It’s CS>Mimic>end CS>Blink(cosume 1st mimic)>Mimic>Blink>Blink

It’s CS>Mimic>end CS>Blink(cosume 1st mimic)>Mimic>Blink>Blink

Depending on the amount of clones, mimic’s cast may outlast CS duration… better start it during or near the end of the cast to make sure it pops before CS ends…

You start casting mimic technically before the CS due to cast/after cast but you can get the idea much easier the way he’s written it.

You can even use this to quadruple cast things if you have a clone or two up (using mimic then the skill twice in CS), can get 28s of alacrity to your party with it =D

Edit: Where applicable add in adrenal mushrooms to double that as well.

I’m confirming this. Triple blink is possible with the combo: CS – Mimic – end CS – Blink – Mimic – Blink – Blink. You maintain the Mimic boon after CS ends. Make sure you cast Mimic and then CS immediately, if you have no illusions. Casting CS first will result in Mimic’s CD not resetting due to the aftercast delay.

You have to start casting mimic first, then activate CS right before mimic is done casting:

Mimi(CS)c → CS ends → Blink → Mimic → Blink → Blink.

I also use staff 2 after CS ends for a quadblink wich makes it very easy even at high fotm to do the reactor.

Double confirming. Even with 0 Illusions you can still cast Mimic in CS though as stressed by others you have to make sure you cast Mimic before entering CS otherwise you’ll snap back in time before Mimic is fully cast.

This same technique is also used for things like quadruple Feedbacks for projectile hells like Uncategorized Fractals.

How do you quadruple feedback with this? Seems like you can only cast the skill three times

3 illusions -> start rotation with precast something + CS -> Mimic -> Feedback -> … -> Feedback -> end CS -> Mimic -> Feedback -> … -> Feedback

can do without illusions if ur feedbacking more targets, so u dont overlap them (thus not wasting them)

If have you multiple Illusions you can cast CS > Mimic > Feedback > Feedback > End CS > Mimic > Feedback > Feedback

Otherwise, you can do it solo, but the timing is a lot tighter and makes use of the fact that Feedback is an insta-cast as well as Mimic’s buff not being consumable until the skill fully finishes casting:

Start Mimic > CS > Feedback > Mimic finishes casting > CS Ends > Feedback > Mimic > Feedback > Feedback.

Though if you goof up on the timing you’ll end up eating the Mimic buff with the Feedback cast during CS. In which case, you’ll only get off 3 casts.

Thanks, i though of something like that but if you were feedbacking one target you’d be overlapping feedback duration (as you said). Better then, to cast 3 illusions > Csplit > Feedback > Mimic > Cshift > Feedback > Mimic > Feedback > Feedback as savacli suggested?

With 3 illusions ur not overlaping 1 target much.
3 illusion CS is 6sec window.
So if u precast mimic (since it is the longest casting spell which will be in your rotation) u can use 1st feedback while casting kitten the begining of the CS.
Feedback is 6s, so u can use 2nd feedback before CS ends ending up with about 3/4 sec overlap.
After CS another mimic and 2x feedback, after feedback gets off cd u should have enough time to recharge it so u can cast it again without mimic -> resulting in 5x feedback -> about 29sec feedback uptime in 1 rotation.

I dont see much usage of this in PvE anyway.
Considering dmg mitigation on higher fractals.
Bloomhunger gets like no dmg from feedback and your party would benefit more from some other dmg boost like calamity well for more alacrity or signet of inspiration for more quickness. And reflects can be managed by iWardens and curtain placed on him in the right time.
U can also use iWardens to reflect on purpose since u can shatter them and then u know that they start reflecting in about 1,75sec after.

On Mossman its the same, use curtain when he gets out of stealth if u dont have iWarden summoned on him and ready to start spinning.

In Urban Battleground u need to reflect just when he starts spining his greatsword and that can be reflectat with curtain or iWarden easily as well.

Uncategorized fractal harpies, curtains and iWardens does the job, u can swap feedback to your utilities during the jumping, but no need for mimic there.

Volcanic fractal … 3xiWarden and ocasional curtain when u think the iWardens wont make it in time (basicly after u shatter them and dont have time to resummon some, so they all start spining at the same time). 3x iWardens here are a benefit tho coz in the larva phase u can pull larvas in the middle of your wpining iWardens using curtains Into the Void pull.

Cliffside, similar to Volcanic.

Molten Furnace, ocasional reflects needed on trash, managable with curtain pull and iWarden on top.
Underground facility, same as molten funace just more often.

Aetherblade the same.

Thaumanova reactor the same, more reflection on the ooze can be managed through multiple iWardens.

Mai Trin, can be managed with iWarden and curtain since u need the reflects just to keep her on a place. That can be managed with other mitigations like evade, block, invuln or aegis.

Molten Boss, Im not sure if feedback works here, coz I dont use it in this particular encounter. I put ocasional curtain over my teammates and iWardens over the berserker to mitigate at least some of the fire balls.

Hope this helps u deciding on why and where to use feedback, most likely that u can master your weapon skills and use some more usefull utility for your team.

Whether you cast with 0 or 3 Illusions. You would have 10s of Mimic’s Echo buff to cast Feedback #2. Afterwards, both Mimic and Feedback are still off CD so you can cast Feedbacks #3 and 4 whenever you want to. The important part being you cast Feedback before Mimic during CS. That way, whenever CS ends you get Feedback back and you have the Echo buff.
