Hypothetical New Skills
I don’t care what it is, though preferably a change to maybe MoP or a new mantra all together, all I would want is a utility skill that applies burn at range (maybe 600?) on a medium cooldown.
If I had to make it OP turn it into a manipulation that turns 2/3 enemy boons into burn stacks with a small initial damage spike.
Before we will see new skills, ranger will get a rework haha.
- Phantasm – Illusionary ?? – Rips up to 3 boons from the target, dealing damage and granting you one stack of might for each boon removed.
CD – 35s
Attacks every 7s
Number of bounces – 3
Damage per boon would scale with the amount of power you have
Speed of the projectile would be similar to guardian scepter

- Manipulation – Illusionary Swap – Swap places with your enemy, creates a clone and immobilizes the enemy.
Immobilize duration – 2 seconds
CD-40s
- Heal- Illusionary Army – Create 10 clones at your position (5 on each side), unless you are hit in 3 seconds, the clones will shatter on your enemy dealing medium damage (All 10 clones should be around the same as a 2-3 clone mind wrack) and healing you for each clone that hit. If the target hits a clone he is immobilized
CD:35s
Heal: 1000/clone (max = 10k, though it’s probably going to be hard to pull off.)
Immobilize duration: 0,5 sec
- Mantra – Mantra of Speed – Give yourself 10 seconds of swiftness
Number of charges – 2
CD between charges – 9s
CD – 7s
Charging time – 2s (so we can have perma swiftness here)
Some of the skills are completely not needed, but I still think it would be amusing to see them.

I really like Jurica’s idea of the Illusionary Army thing! I always liked the idea of a skill that created huge army of clones. Maybe instead of all 10 shattering the target which would seem Overpowered to some degree (in my mind). Why not like, have 5 clones appear all around your mesmer, and each one will shatter over 5 seconds providing a good heal for each one. Maybe each clone would give a substantial heal, as it would balance out by enemies being able to destroy the clones before they shatter heal.
Thinking about it, why not like a phantasm healer. It could be a phantasm that heals every couple of seconds just like the regular ones. Maybe it could last like 20 seconds, doing a good kind of heal maybe like 1-3k every 5 seconds maybe and then at the end it shatters and heals like 10k, which is good because enemies could destroy it before it reaches that stage so 10k would be nice and maybe heal others.
It would definitely seem cool to have a clone heal yourself hehe lol and of course a skill where you have like 10 clones around you would be awesome! even if it was just for show, like having 10 clones poof around the mesmer and do a big AoE and then disappear, it would still be fun!
a pantasmal healer making aoe heal blasts for everyone would be awesome :0, like 1.5-3 k for everyone and 2-4 k ticks for u, every 5 sec, doesnt heal right away when summoned so enemys got time to react, it has hp equivalent to other phantasms etc
now that i think about it, it would be a great pve healskill but notihing for pvp…
[Disguise] I think that an Invisibility alternative that would make a Mesmer appear as an Ally character for a few seconds would be kind of interesting. (i.e., green name instead of red name) It would / could also function as a de-target or make it so that the Mesmer couldn’t be tab-targeted the same way other ally creatures work.
This would be more useful in PvP and WvW than it would be PvE environments, although it could still function as a de-target in PvE to allow the Mesmer to lose some heat.
I’m not sure if it would or should apply to all of the Mesmer’s Illusions as well, but the general idea is that it would make the player appear “friendly,” which I think would be in line with how some of the Orrian Mesmers operate in the story line.
I imagine it would probably be a Manipulation-based utility skill, possibly with the elite version working for the whole group.

Heal Skill: Phantasmal Cleric
Summon a phantasm that heals all nearby allies on regular intervals. Creates a water field for 5 seconds when it is shattered.
Healing: 450 hps AoE (base) for max. 10 seconds (4500hp healing party heal)
time between heal channels: 10 seconds
Cooldown: 30 seconds
1s cast time
Utility: Hypnotic Hands
Manipulation. Daze (1/4s) foes around (180 radius, frm traited -> 240) you and instantly recharge your weapon swap.
Cast time: 1/4 s
Cooldown: 30 seconds
