I need sigil advice!
Crap, misread that.
Right, sigils. If you’re going for conditions, you’ll probably want bleed duration. Burn duration isn’t helpful because you won’t be able to boost the staff burning enough to make it tick twice, but bleed will help. You also should get at least 1 corruption sigil for the condition damage stacking.
Edit: Things like 5% extra damage or 10% extra damage are straight damage, not condition damage.
by the way I honestly think this sigil isn’t working even at night lol. Conditions don’t seem to affect it. It’s probably a bad sigil to use now that I think about it.
It’s hard to answer this question without knowing anything about your build or play-style.
As Pyro said, you’ll want a least one weapon with Corruption on it and then you should swap it out once you reach 25 stacks. I wouldn’t really recommend the bleed duration sigil unless you have more condition duration from another source, because you only get more bleeding damage in 1 second increments. If Winds of Chaos is your only source of bleeding, it means you need 15% duration to see any effect. The bleed duration also doesn’t transfer to illusions, so it really only benefits your auto-attack.
If you’re going for a crit-based build, you get several more options. Earth (more bleeds), Strength (Might = more cond dmg), and Generosity (Transfer condition to foe) could all work well. Remember that the “on-crit” effects share a cooldown, so you can only run one of them.
The other sigil of note is Doom, which applies poison after weapon swapping. This is nice because a condition mesmer normally relies on RNG for poison. Battle is another good option for the Might stacks or Energy if you have Deceptive Evasion. Again, you only want one “on-swap” sigil because of the shared cooldown.
Sigil of corruption = 25 stacks =>250 condi damage
Sigil of earth = 60% on crit to inflict bleeding ( only if u have good crit chance)
Sigil of Battle = 3 stacks of might = 105 power and condi damage on weapon swap
personally i would go corruption in ur off hand, and battle in ur scepter and staff so u will have perma 6 stacks of might switching between weapons ~210 condi damage

I’m fairly sure its been established in the ShatterCat thread that Force and Night, i.e % damage increases don’t effect conditions.
If you are running low crit chance the best option is just Battle and Battle/Stacks then swap to anything that isn’t on crit or on weapon swap when you hit 25, Force I guess as you’d be using some Carrion to have a low crit chance so you’d have good power.
High crit chance gives your more to play with and you can have 2 different on crit procs for each weapon set. It could be an idea to have one like Earth or Strength on the staff to compliment it (more bleeds or might) as you will be in staff the majority of the time. Then on the off hand you could have a defensive one, lifesteal on crit for instance or a more offensive one such as Air/Fire for a little bit more burst or Chill even to slow people escaping.
