Idea to make Mirrors Tactical
At that rate, save yourself the effort, give me 2 extra dodges, and change all the mirage mirror spawning crap to just give me 25% of my gauge filled (an extra dodge).
Really I’m just going the simplest route with that. As I honestly think they either need to commit to the mechanic wholesale, or drop it entirely for something else.
And if they committed to it wholesale, imo it would play too similar to Scourge.
So they should probably just drop it.

Although it doesn’t have to play similar to scourge at all. But I don’t think they would ever go with any of the off the wall kitten ideas I could come up with for the mirrors.

I suggested virtually the same concept elsewhere a couple times, only without the clone spawning and tacking on the ammo mechanic with max charge of 2. Ammo would recharge at a balanced rate while traits and deceptions that currently spawn mirrors would refill a charge.
I cannot speak for the OP, but my logic went like this:
- Mirrors are cool, but feel a little clunky; increasing player control would help
- Mirage needs ways to enable Mirage Cloak, Mirage Mirrors allow for this
- Enabling Mirage Mirrors with an F5 builds it into the core of Mirage
- Adding additional endurance regeneration or supply is not as interesting, has been done, and would make Elusive Mind even more broken
- Mirage Mirrors would act as “pre-dodges” that allow for counterplay by advertising future position, but allow for 2 instead of 1 (see Daredevil) and regenerate separate from endurance
I wouldn’t want more ground targeting (already awkward enough to find suitable keybinds for jaunt, blink and things like chaos storm/temporal curtain).
But I’m all in favour of a mechanic that allows some ability for tactics and mind games with the mirrors.
I’d like enemies to be able to trigger mirrors, too. You can drop mirrors on enemies for an extra mirage cloak (no need to add more dodges naturally).

I was thinking something similar. Enemies can also trigger the mirror exploding them and giving you mirage cloak.
It would add some awesome gameplay to always be trying to tactically trying to damage an enemy with your mirrors
