so,
there are the three traits, which apply confusion / cripple / random condition when the Illusion is killed..

i think that should happen as well if u shatter them, cause i just tested it with the confusion and it dont apply.
Sucks a bit tbh..

plz note, that if its a pretty long discussion i may not have read every post,
therefore im sorry if i just posted some outdated stuff
also maybe a similar thread exists already, in that case im sorry for double post.

On the bright side, they do count as dying if you overwrite one by summoning a 4th illusion, so you can get some good use out of those abilities in a non-shattering build.

Likewise, if their target dies, the clones die, which can hit other foes that aren’t dead yet

Confusion applies on any Illusion dies, whether they be Phantasm or Clone.
Cripple and “Random Condition” traits only work when Clone dies, not a Phantasm.

None of them work on Shatters, sadly. Which would have been great, meaning my Cry of Frustration would have put out 3x Confusions per Clone death, then 2x Confusions for Illusionary Persona.

That said, the Cripple trait tends to be a favorite of mine (Especially with Dodge Clones). It means better kiting/evading, as when any enemy kills my little clone then all enemies nearby are crippled for a bit. Giving me a better head start on moving. That, and it means when I dodge out of the way of an incoming melee attack, it usually hits & kills the clone causing the Crippling.
Thus Leap Clone cripples one target at start, immobilizes the immediate area when you swap with it, then cripples AoE on death.

Confusion on any clone & phantasm death is one I’m starting to rethink. I just may drop to 20 Duelist instead of 30, and put 10 points into Inspiration or Chaos (Or further Domination if it works).

Random Condition on any clone death is just Weakness, 3x Vulnerability, or 3x Bleeding. That just isn’t worth it to me, sadly. Weakness is nice, but its only one of 3 choices. If it had MORE conditions it could do, like in BWE, it might be worth it, but with only those three … nah.

YOU NEED TO BELIEVE IN THINGS THAT AREN’T TRUE. HOW ELSE CAN THEY BECOME?

3x Bleeding is a lot of damage, that and Weakness are worth it. IMO being able to apply only a choice of these conditions is a strength of the trait. If it was a random condition from any condition I’d be less inclined to take it.

I wouldn’t sneeze at Debilitating Dissipation/Random Condition. With a clone bomber build /w sharper images & MH sword, you can rack up quite a few stacks of bleed and vulnerability from clone death just by summoning illusions on cooldown and auto-attack.

With Deceptive Evasion you can chain 4 explosions /w Mirror Images + 2 Dodges once you’re at the 3 illusion cap. It IS random, and thus inconsistent, but given the conditions spread to multiple foes, it can be quite a bargain for a 10 point trait.
