Guild Wars 2

I’m trying to come up with a Mesmer support build and was wondering if Illusion of Life has any viable use in any mode of gameplay? It seems like other classes have better revival skills.

Also, does anyone have a PvE support build?

Im not sure about the revival skill but if it helps, I use restorative mantras in dungeons. I use mantras alot so its very nice. Oh and mantra of pain is on like a 1 second cooldown with the 2 second casting time so that is alot of healing

should have some uses in high end fractals.

if you get lucky you can be pretty useful in sPvP team fights against Pugs.

you should really only use it when a fight is very close and you know you can get a kill for your teammate to keep them up tho.

Beyond that its only good for repositioning so you can res a downed player.

It used to be meta for mesmers in tpvp. However, we got hit with the nerf bat constantly for 1 1/2 years as well as warrior getting buffed so warbanner essentially became IoL but better. We got replaced by warrior basically.

It would be good if IoL would get set as an elite, the CD increased but that it fully revives the enemy, different effects depending on amount of clones perhaps. (could maybe rally the enemy and allow him to be invulnerable for x amount of seconds depending on the amount of clones we have or w/e)
