Did anyone else notice this? (quick example video in WvW)

When traited, Illusionary Wave pushback is broken: it still interrupts casts, but fails to move the targets away.

At first I tought it was the terrain, but it was a bit too consistent.

I use imagined burden in PvE and there it doesn’t seem to bug GS#5.

Yes IW bugs out in its knock back effect sometimes. Not sure the exact reason why, but someone posted in the Mes forum fairly recently that they tested it and believed it was due to the cripple applied by imagined burden. I think it would be a good idea (if the OP hasn’t already) to post this video in the bug section, and hopefully this will expedite a fix for it.

I’ve had the same experience as Menaka. If I have Imagined Burden traited, Illusionary wave’s pushback becomes very inconsistent. It still interrupts though, so It doesn’t bother me.

The knockback effect is very useful in PvP, so it would be nice to for it to work consistently. The only thing is your opponent seems to recover from it more quickly than from a launch or a knockdown, so adding a knockdown onto it would be good too.

A copy-paste of what i’ve found in an earlier thread – hope it helps!

After investigating this issue and testing on Tequatl’s bloated creepers i’ve concluded that this is caused by a bugged interaction with our GM trait Imagined Burden.

If you have IB and try to iWave a creeper without cripple, you will have the short knockdown effect.

If you have IB and try to iWave a creeper with cripple already applied, you will have the intended skill effect

If you don’t have IB at all you will have the intended skill effect regardless.

May be a symptom of another, bigger bug which prevents iWave from functioning correctly when it applies a condition (by some sigil/venom effect or something) – I know there have been complaints about iWave being inconsistent in the past. – have not tested this conjecture.
