80 Necromancer (IRNY), 80 Guardian (IRNY)
GW2: it’s like DAoC, but for the WoW crowd.
Any chance this could be rolled into Diversion by default and replaced with something else in the Illusions line?
Single target clones never hit their target on shatter unless you are right on top of the target. This would really help Interrupt builds that are currently lackluster.
While it would be amazing, making Diversion AoE would be immensely overpowered IMO. Also there are creative ways you can get a single clone shattered on a group.
The only thing I don’t really like about this trait is that the only way to get your bang out of it is to combine it with another “on interrupt” trait, which in a way pigeon holes build diversity with it. I would never want to do away with it though. It’s way powerful and definitely has it’s uses.

Could you explain to me why? Necro’s have an AE daze that lasts for 2 seconds with a 15 less second cooldown. Isn’t that twice as overpowered?
Are you talking about Wail of Doom? Cause I’m pretty sure that has like a 30 second cd. Plus it requires them to hold a warhorn which is a generally terrible choice for PvP since it takes away one of their chills/boon strips or their blind/condi transfers. Plus it has 600 range whereas clones set to use diversion will chase your around till they reach you essentially making them homing.
I feel like a compromise could just be increasing the single target range meaning the clone would explode further away from the target due to a wider radius.

That AE daze in and of itself is fine and if that’s all it were on mesmer it might be OK. But necroz don’t have near (if any) the other interrupt proc’ing traits/abilities that mesmers have.
Mesmers can take many other other interrupt traits in their builds that would make lockdown and boon capabilities too strong with an AoE F3. Meaning, it’s not just the AE daze, it’s the other interrupt affects in addition, assuming that daze leads to an interrupt (Halting Strike/Illusion of Vulnerability/Bountiful Interruption/Furious Interruption/Chaotic Interruption).
I can imagine the hate mesmers would get by such easy access to this. F3 > Illusionary Invigoration > Signet of Illusions = loud QQ’s for nerfs.
We should be charged for something this powerful, considering these other capabilities.
You also have to consider that this might result in up to 3 seperate area dazes (depending on the number of illusions) PLUS an area daze centered around the Mesmer because of IP. You would also be able to hit F3 without any clones out. The synergy between IP and ID alone is way too powerful to be accessible by simply spending 30 points in one traitline. You can also grab Illusionary Invigoration which would make the cooldown insanely low.
If ID was the Domination Grandmaster then I would probably be okay with it because you will have to spend 60 points for it and won’t be able to get any other interrupt trait besides Halting Strike.
Nah, that would be op.
Moving the trait down 10points and making it possible to work with illusionary persona would give SO much more type of shatter builds in Raid WvW. Imo really something anet should be thinking about.

That would be even more OP with Perplexity Runes

How would that be op?
Confusion got nerfed to kitten, 1/2 of the people you try to daze will have stability and the other 1/2 is either not casting a skill or get’s interrupted, and when he does, the almighty condition clease will rip it off in 1 or 2 seconds.
I don’t see how ’’op’’ that would be to have a little bit more damage in such raids, especially compared to what warriors can do.
AE interrupt which I can stack with all the interrupt traits and the daze traits sounds quite OP, sorry.
It could be a 3 enemies low ΓΈ aoe unlike the ther shatters. Keep Dominion 15 in mind: Dazing stacks 5 times vulnerability for 10 sec. <3 Would be nice tough :P
