I am now level 50, all done soloing and I must say its been brutal lol.

From what I’ve experienced thus far, the Mesmer profession seems to be geared towards group play over soloing.

Going through the powers alone seem to be geared for playing in a group and group support.

Any comments ?

Mesmer is basically a magic thief if speced for it so short answer no, Mesmer is great solo.

In fact Mesmer is one of the best solo classes in the game if not the best next to thief and ele.

Not really

A 1 vs 1 glass shatter, phastasm, and pure mantra are all dueling build. They have diminishing returns as the amount of the enemies increase.

For the group play, the cool things about a memser is that the mesmer does not have to do damage to be helpful. Their skill and utilies are powerful and useful.
