Hello guys, after the Sword Buffs, I was wondering if that 200% increase on sword 2 is enough to level my mesmer thru Open World Content. I have always wanted to use one, but its extremely crap ammount of damage has drove me away from even trying to get past 15.

100% damage increase not 200% increase.

As for leveling a mesmer, still not nearly as easy/fun as leveling something like an ele. But its definitely doable. I leveled mine before sword was buffed and it was fine, stuff just took a while to kill.

Fun is relative; I enjoyed leveling my mesmer MUCH more than my ele, and I love ele. If u mean worth it end-game, Mesmer is not going away from meta just – don’t expect sword buff to make pwr mes a thing or DPS to be on par with other classes now. Still a boon/support class.
