A build that can win against 2 elite players? All the vids i see where people win 1vx battles are against total newbs without stacks or 1v1 s where another enemy trickles in after the first is down.

Easy. If those two people are elite, you have to be Chuck Norris. Otherwise, you won’t win. This rule applies to all classes; not just Mesmer.

^ this. Except maybe if you’re a really good warrior.

Against elite players, though, you’re not realistically going to 1vX them unless a) your opponents have bad gear (there are many elite sPvP players that have bad gear) b) your opponent is having a bad day or just testing a build, or c) there’s some other factor that is causing your opponents to lose, like having really, really bad teammates (I lost one 2v1 in WvW on my Mesmer before because I felt that I had a moral obligation to res my nearby ally who was absolutely horrible. In every consecutive 1v1 against that enemy thief, I never once got remotely close to dying.)

Winning an outnumbered fight is not a matter of build, but of skill. In order to beat 2 elite players, you yourself must be unbelievably skilled, and such a person would not need to make a thread asking this question.

Practice more, that’s the only thing that will help.

This, and “working as intended”.

Of course by being human, a player’s ability varies frequently, even during one fight, so to win such a fight is possible with an element of good fortune on your side (and opposite for them – buggy skills, mind partially occupied by other thoughts leading to a slip up, etc).

In a “perfect” scenario, I would say that use of terrain and manipulation of yours and the opponents’ movement through the terrain are the key features in order to triumph.

I thought I might get responses like this Surprised nobody spoke of every build has its counter build. I’ve played mesmer for so long now and tried so many variations that I thought I would ask the community. I remember back before wvw went 80% heavies with superior condi cleanse. The blackwater build wrecked people. I’m running my own build currently and still switch weekly it seems. I’m mainly hybrid now but always looking for that edge.

I wouldn’t consider the Guardians in the second clip in this video total noobs (if anything they are as noobish as I am), and they both swing a couple of guard stacks each.
