I’m trying to test out different builds for a group condition mesmer that focuses on torment, bleed, confusion, and possibly fire.

If anyone has some time, could you look at this and just give feedback. I’m not sure how much condition damage we need to be very effective. One thing I tested was taking out deceptive evasion and getting the trait for converting toughness to condi damage which took it up to 2300 or so. But in fight, it was harder to have a constant supply of clones out to shatter for conditions.

I’ve also thought about doing carrion for vitality or dire for condition, vit, and tough. I’m not sure if precision and power are really needed if I’m supposed to be putting out conditions a lot.

Another big question is the runes.. There are so many different runes for conditions and I jsut can’t decide which is best. In this setup, I went with undead for the toughness stacking and converting into condition damage, but maybe using runes that go towards specific debuffs is better like rune of tormenting/perplexity?

This build has zero mobility, but given its group comp that might not be an issue.

Why the greatsword?

The build will be better post patch, but given you’ve dropped all manner of stealth, and don’t even have blink, I’d be more inclined to go mixed Dire. Sure, you’ll lose some bleed on crit, but you’ll gain that tanky sustain and distractability amidst your group that can prove helpful. If enemies turn their attention on you and your clones, they’ll find you difficult to burn down. Fury from staff can also bridge the gap if you take 30% base crit, giving you 50% chance to crit.

Here’s a variation.

Your builds not bad, but I’m not sure it’s great either. You’re trying for a group comp condi applying mesmer, I’m wondering if it’s the best class for the job? But if you’re wanting Mesmer for that job, why the Mesmer?
