Returned to the game recently and class searching.

Can a well played mesmer still pull these kinds of things off?

I’m sure that wasn’t easy by any means. But it looked so fun.

Currently I have the following classes in the lower 20’s from where I played at launch:

Thief
Mesmer
Guardian
Warrior
Engineer
Ranger

I must say that the above video, with a bunch of other videos by that guy make playing mesmer look very rewarding in WvW.

Of course its still possible.

Anything is possible when playing against idiots.

The other 90% of the time you get roflstomped by 5 players though.

1. over half the people he was fighting in that video was upscaled
2. over half the people he was fighting in that video was idiots

Was debating between my thief, mesmer, or engineer and that guy’s videos were just fun to watch.

I thought the same about Seven in his videos until i started roaming with him, i saw him doing it against different opponents

Does he still play? The class, and more importantly meta have changed. With it the skills and level necessary. Yes you can still troll but it aint quite like it used to be.

If you would refer that vid to ‘’well played’’ by delaying every single skill he did and fighting total morons, then no that’s not possible. Meta became easier to deal damage for nearly all classes.

However, by just answering your question: Yes, it’s still possible to win 1v4’s as mesmer.
