Do people use offhand torches for mesmers more than mainhand scepter that it doesn’t get any changes for the feature patch?.

I don’t wvw or pvp anymore so I don’t know how good it is in those modes.

I’m switching between Pistol and Torch offhand for my shatter build depending what I’m facing. Torch 4 is pretty good but sadly torch 5 is so bad, maybe one of the worst skill in the entire game, that I often reconsider :/.

It defenitely needed a buff.

Do you run a condi or a power shatter setup? As a power-shatterer I can’t really see a use for it.

Not sure you’re asking me or the OP but I mostly played torch to learn the buid, to get used to it as it gives one extra survability skill but way less damage obviously. It’s not really viable, I just like that extra stealth so much sometimes :p

Torch #4 is quite useful in GS + Sw/torch power shatter set up. It can be used to set up shatter nukes or escape after the burst. But yeah torch #5 is simply there for shatter folder in power builds lol. If you trait for torch cleanse #5 cleanse one condition on cast and one more condition when iMage bolt bounces back to you, but the bolt only hits you once per attack. However that trait is fiercely competed with boon strip in shatter builds.

torch is useful in all builds besides phantasm based ones, for pvp/wvw at least, the 3 s stealth, blind, burn, and kinda high dmg wich u can spike together w other skills is awesome
