LF build advice (WvW, multiple mesmers)

A few of my friends and I have made identical mesmers with the intention of equipping identical gear and sowing some serious insanity in WvW.

We’re going for lots of clones, lots of stealth, and lots of suviveability.

Most of the builds I’m seeing here seem to focus on the staff and condition damage… would that work best with a crew of multiple mesmers as well?

Usually there will be 3-5 of us, on at a time, but that might grow if more of the guild jumps on board.

I’ve been leveling with the GS primarily, but outside of solo questing I’m pretty new to mesmers; and the same is true with the rest of the crew.

Any tips/thoughts?

Thanks! (once this ball really gets rolling I’ll be sure to get some vids up, too!)

There’s a lot of fun things you can do with this, I’d suggest something like “Lazy Kai’s guide” for lvling but for your final wvw builds I’d suggest Flimpy’s “condition tank” build follows your exact description of “lots of clones, lots of stealth, and lots of survivability.” It’s what I run for wvw, it’s tons of fun and very trolly, but it’s not a very good lvling/pve build as not much direct damage and mobs don’t annihilate themselves with confusion like players do. I’d suggest someone run something like Osi’s shatter or hybrid builds for some straight up burst damage to combine with the trolly confusion build. If you’re going to be doing much siege/zerg vs zerg battle I’d suggest checking out Kylia’s glamour build, it’s awesome for dropping confusion on mobs of people and then watching them kill themselves lol, but it’s not the greatest 1vX (imo).

Any build is viable really. If you all look the same, the only thing you really have to do is decide on weapon sets. Though, considering the level of confusion that’ll be present, this may not matter all that much.

The fact that you all look the same should be enough. But you’d definitely benefit from at least one burst, one confusion, and bunkering.

Then just coordinate your utilities and elites. Play around, and if you use team speak etc, call what you’re doing until you all figure out how best to work your magic.
