Guild Wars 2

I’m having a bit of trouble levelling my mesmer (level 43 at the moment) and I recently switched from Greatsword to Staff, with mixed results. I can survive vs mobs that aren’t regular (have a bronze border or whatever) around them a lot easier and I can kill them fairly easily now, but when they are multiple mobs I tend to struggle due to my low damage. Since the rejig to traits I’m doing even worse, and I’m wondering if anyone could suggest a trait tree and weapons to use, aswell as just general tips? I’m thinking going back to greatsword and duelling would work better, but I’m not sure. Thanks in advance.

I leveled my Mesmer with a staff until about 40is and then grew to hate it. It’s just too slow for my personal play style. I would suggest that if you like the GS (and who wouldn’t) that you take a look at the build in my signature. It’s a power-based build that revolves around stealth. Esentially, I drop my little friends and then dance in and out of stealth until the targets are dead. It’s a ton of fun to play as you can take down multiple targets quickly and if you get into a bad situation, it’s always easy to escape.
