I just made a mesmer to try out in spvp i really like the staff abilities and such are there any good builds that have good dmg and survivability that use staff and the primary weapon? If so linking your build would be grand instead of posting ex: 0/0/20/20 because that confuses me.

Check out the link in my signature. It has a lengthy written guide as well as videos. The staff is the primary weapon for that build and you have amazing defenses and survivability. The damage, while not as high as a shatter build, is still good. Also, depending on what type of gameplay you plan to do, you could switch around traits/weapons.

Here it is, It has defence through stealth and condition damage with confusion from shatters, scepter and conditions from staff and clones.
I try to shatter all scepter clones for some confusion.

Normally i only shatter, but i just wanted to try out new builds with this patch for fun ^^.

google shatter mesmer. you’ll find enough sites with the standard build.
