Hi fellow mesmers…

I’ve in need of some help on Liadri. Here’s what I have so far from hours of trying & youtubing…

I can quite easily get her to Phase 2, and that’s when things fall apart.

Phase 1 – No issues, except the amount of damage Liadri does to me. I have to heal once.

Phase 2 – She immediately leaps or whips me, and I have trouble keeping her away from me. Tried Mantra to relieve cripple, but I find that she’s right behind me in no time… feel like this won’t solve my problem. I find myself having to give lots of room to the VoM (and death even though they are sometimes quite far away). The AoE is easy to step out, but I am having trouble managing AoE, VoM, and trying to dodge Liadri herself…

Gear: Mostly zerker, but I am open to suggestions.

Builds I’ve tried to far:

S/F, S/S kinda Dulfy’s method – run around with phantasms… I find that I die before my illusions can kill her…

S/F, GS – GS for Phase 2. Same problem, I don’t do enough, and she usually cripples me while in AOE and I end up dying to AOE or VoM because I am slower while shooting her.

Will toughness/vitality gear help? Open to suggestions… please help!

basically stun eevery leap of liadri, using mirror heal also removes cripple, stay with sword the whole first phace, use sword 2 when the aoes r falling on u(u can switch to sword as well on second phace if u r in panic and dont have anything else left to use, it evades clones either), i rly didnt have any difficultys on second phace

ah ops, if u cant stand his dmg get more defensive gears as well* , in build i posted u got 3 stuns as utilitys only tho and those r more than enuf if u consider ur pistol 5 and gs 5 as well

This is what I use, and it’s highly effective (use standard all zerker gear for it, I use double energy sigils).

The idea is that spamming mantra of pain allows you to keep your health up. Mender’s purity combined with the heal mantra and the condition removal mantra gives you tons of condie removal to clean up the cripple and weakness in phase 2. Warden’s feedback with focus allows you to use the warden and temporal curtain to block her attacks in phase 1. Temporal curtain also provides swiftness for better mobility.

Just spam mantra of pain and use temporal curtain to block her attacks in phase 1, while getting orbs down. In phase 2, run in circles with greatsword attacking her and spawning iZerkers right after a shadowfall. Use a condie clear to clean up any dangerous conditions you have on you, and make sure you watch for the orb that yanks you and kill it quickly with mantra of pain or a gs attack.

This is similar to what I used. I also put on Restorative Mantras (dropping the 2 from dom and putting them into dueling and inspirations), and use the Mantra of Recovery. Between charging my mantras (recovery and pain) I had a ton of heals, and tons of condition clear. I found the cripple on iZerker was also fantastic in keeping away.

I actually ended up switching to sword for the offhand though— the block provides an interesting alternative to more cripple (in that you can block a leap very easily with this), and the swordsman is more useful in putting out damage.

Double energy sigil + endurance food was super helpful as well.

But anyway, Pyro’s strategy is basically what I’ve seen a lot of successful players doing, though the details can vary as discussed.

Personally i used S/F + Staff and when more Condition Damage oriented.

Tips i have are that Relying on Phants and Clones to stay up during this fight to do damage is a bad idea. they dont last for more than 1 shot maybe 2 if you’re very lucky.

Swiftness helps, it helps a LOT in phase 2 to counter the cripple or keep you out of reach. I just used the Focus to keep this up when i needed it.

I didn’t manage to defeat Liadri on my own, I had my husband pilot my character for that fight. Only that one! :P

The distortions helps a lot but you have to time them perfectly as not all signets have instant casting time.

It was really hard dealing with the cosmic rift during phase 2, so we tried using scepter/focus & gs instead. And it worked! The autoattack from scepter made it easy for him to kite Liadri during phase 2, because he doesn’t need to adjust his range when changing weapons.

I used exotic PVT gear with rune of speed, then ascended knight trinkets.

P.S. My hubby doesn’t have a mes, so he was kinda limited in his knowledge during the fight. What he found really useful though is GS#5 for the visions, Mirror for heal, Mass Invisibility, and Blink. He had a hard time using GS#3 due to the casting time, so almost all of his DPS were coming from GS4, Focus5 and autoattack.

phase 2 start stealth right away. pump out 2 zerkers on her. stay close to the center and avoid insta death areas. Your zerk and your auto attack should have no problems killing her.

I tried doing her with my condition WvW build and had a lot of trouble finish her off in her last phase. Then I logged my full zerker mesmer and one shot her just by spamming GS1 GS2 and GS4. VERY important trait is the cripple on clone death which basically keeps her perma slowed in the 2nd phase which basically trivializes the whole thing. I also used mirror heal with centaur runes so I had permanentish swiftness.

Try taking MI as your ultimate. Drop it once you enter phase 2, and use it to help gain a better positioning before starting your attack. It helped me immensely.

Doesn’t feel as big of an achievement. But, mesmer will stay my main so I’ll go back to Liadri after taking a short break.

I’m gonna finish up the achievement with my mesmer for now. Feedback works on the gunner for 3 gambits?

give scepter a try…the block is nice for her lunges and it has blind for her VoM

load up interrupts on deadeye fight you can easily kill him with any number of gambit on.
