Feel free to:
Swap Empowered Illusions (Domination III) with Crippling Dissipation (Domination V).
Swap Deceptive Evasion (Dueling X) with Duelist’s Discipline (Dueling IX).
Swap Blade Training (Dueling IV) with Far-Reaching Manipulations (Dueling I).
Swap Compounding Celerity (Inspiration VI) with Warden’s Feedback (Inspiration VIII).

Note:
Blade Training is super helpful, so if you do go for Far-Reaching Manipulations, you can swap out Deceptive Evasion for Blade Training.

Signet of Illusions is somewhat useless as illusions will die relatively fast, but it does allow your illusions to take one or two more hits from Liandri. If you don’t want to run this, swap to Feedback, Null Field, or Mantra of Resolve (be careful with this).

This build is still viable for beating Liadri. I swapped in Phantasmal Defender for my last utility just to help mitigate damage (same as Feedback). Probably not the most efficient, but it lets you run around and spam illusions until the very end when you face her off with your sword.

Just beat her now, didn’t change spec at all. Trick is to stick around middle for stage 2. I run a sub power dps wise pu power build. She seemed a bit less tough than last time I killed her, maybe because I have better gear now. Pretty much izerker and laser beam was enough to kill her in stage 2.

My tactic for killing her was always:

use whatever I happen to have equipped and:
-swap to Mirror heal (usually blocks her attacks)
-use Feedback, Condition Cleanse Mantra, and Blink
-Whatever racial elite you think will help the most. I use make root since I’m a Sylvari.

Once you get phase 1 down, phase 2 is mostly luck that you don’t get yanked at a bad time before you can kill the orb.

For phase 1 I found that there is a specific cage where her second white circle spawns up against the wall. It’s at about the 6 o’clock position and if you get the trick down it makes phase 1 easy.

-Load in, target her and cast Warden on her and call target on her (it helps during phase 2)
-Run clockwise towards the first circle, wait for the AoE that will go off then stand on the other side of it to wait for the first shadow to run into it. (stutter step back and forth while waiting and her attacks will miss you).
-Grab the orb and while running to the other side throw it at her, throw a feedback or warden to avoid attacks, Mirror if you need to heal.
-there should now be another circle against the wall on the opposite side of her. Stand against the wall so that if you’re facing Liadri it is on your left. (Stutter step while you wait).

Here is the tricky bit. Towards the bottom of the cell (where you entered, off to the left of where you’re now standing) you will see another shadow spawn. Standing where you are now it will path directly into the third white circle before any of the other shades reach the second. You just drop your focus pull on the second circle and yank a shadow into the wall once the third one is in position. You now have a clear path to grab and throw your second and third orbs.

After that I drop a warden on Liadri if able, swap to GS and kite her. Throw down berserkers between AoEs, and use your Mantra to keep weakness and cripple off you. If you get yanked an orb and downed, kill it to rally.

The thing I learned about Liadri on a Mesmer is that we’re not warriors – when you fail it will often be happenstance with orb placement Over anything else. GS 5 is good for killing the orbs w/o dropping target, but I tend to like using it for breathing room vs Liadri and her shades.

The cages are different , each has it’s own spawn pattern. Stick to the same cage every time. When you get pulled by an orb because you didn’t have time to kill it sword 2 helps a lot . Stealth helps a lot to get you time to throw the shards.

Standard phantasm build is something like 2/3/0/5/4 (taking Dom III, Dueling II, Illusions X), and especially for Liadri, greatsword is most effective in her Phase 2. Phase 1 u can stick with sword+any oh, you can use Blurred Frenzy defensively against the aoe and clone bomb attacks.

was using it exactly like that

use blurred frenzy during the aoes, start BF 1-2 sec after the aoe circles appear
