Hello fellow mesmers!

I have never really communicated on the forums or posted that much, however, I propose a challenge to you all!

For the past 2 and whatever years I have duelled my friend, now he has handed my kitten to me more times than if like to admit!

The challenge is can you beat him?

In all seriousness, I would like to be able to learn how to counter thieves a bit more, thought this might also interest the duelers out there!

If you are interested add me in game and I’ll set up a duel arena!

Oh and yeah did I menttion he is a theif!

Only looking for power orientated builds too please!

Would be happy to duel you and your friend, I play 12-4am est. Would prefer not to duel in a power build though. I will run power shatter if wanted but if the thief gets to pick w/e build he wants then so should I.

Yeah I suppose that’s a valid point on if he can play what he likes, so should you!

I wonder why people dislike condition builds so much. Couldn’t be that they are, dare I say, somewhat effective?!

I’d say chances of winning with a condi-based build would be higher, as pointed out in that other thread. Still a rather hard matchup if the Thief really knows what he’s doing, though… but at least not as much hardcounter than it is with power-shatter.

Being a duel, I believe he’s the type of thief that hit and run till he heals… I use a not so common signet interrupt build, I’ve beaten a few thieves with it and managed to keep 75%+ health. Hit me up and we’ll see what we can do
