I recently posted a topic asking the community what kind of Mesmer I should create, resulting in my first female Sylvari. She’s now level 44 and I’m looking into potential level 80 gear.

What armor sets do you think look best on such a character? Feel free to post images of your light armor sets, I want some inspiration! Thanks for your input!

Look, I’ve spent HOURS trying to choose among the best looking sets for female sylvaris.
I ended up with this:

Head: nothing
Shoulders: nothing
Chest: Inquest Vest
Gloves: Linen Gloves
Pants: Feathered Pants
Boots: Magician Boots

Everything in Purple, with details in Gold.

Some nice alternatives I have found are using the T1 Sylvari Chest & Gloves, since they are really cool. Unfortunately, I cannot find a single leg-piece which satisfies me when paired with those components. Maybe only the Winged Pants would do, but I already have my Ele with those… Not to mention that the T1 Sylvari Chest makes my toon’s breast quite smaller :/

No one can tell you what looks good in your own eyes. In my book, though, sylvari tend to look “wrong” in almost anything beside cultural gear and the Twilight Arbor sets. The human design of the other outfits just clashes badly with the unique plant-features, especially the skimpy/frilly light armors.

This is my mesmer, i LOVE the new look, the dye suits so well as the Phantoms and the spell colors are very similar as well.

If i had the Gold or Mats i would make the Illusion weapons – i want the Greatsword, Scepter, Pistol and Anomaly but that would set be back like 600g

If you are sylvari like I am I can’t do anything but the twighlight arbor gear or sylvar racial gear. Use the soft pastel glowy colors once you get the exotic dyes—I think the lighter colors look better on sylvari gear.

However, all of this I would reskin from Zed’s gear for swiftness and power once you are able to.

IMO, for female sylvari mesmers the best looking armor is the tier 1 racial. I hide the helmet, shoulders, and gloves. It looks more like an extension of your skin than armor.
