Love the mesmer, bored of the current meta
Yeah, I think we’ll see a shift with the next balance patch. Necros, Spirit Rangers, and Perma-stun warriors will most likely all get nerfed.
This has gone on far longer than usual because of the Pax tournament.
Have faith. Mesmer’s ruled the meta for months, this is just a small blip.
They will need to rebalance soon if they want to keep a stable pvp environment. What’s annoying about these unbalanced situations is that by now everyone’s rolled a necro and a ranger. They’ll both get nerfed soon and all those people will cry to no end.
That said, now’s the time to do other, pve’ish things in the game. That or roll an OP class…

Yeah the current group meta is harsh for us. Glamour utilities and timewarp still situationally useful, but everything else is kitten in GvG or Zerg fights and being utilitybot gets boring.
agreed.the current meta is terrible for me as a mesmer, but i still get to have fun.my guild has a lot of mesmers and we keep trying new things. i would love to see big changes for us. right now our autoattacks are very poor compared to other classes. yes, we have phantasms compensating, but if u are not a shatterer or phantasm build u are kinda left with a very low dps.
i play condition mesmer and it sometimes feels like im actually more trying to be a viabale condition mesmers, but the rng based skills make it hard to be a real condition spec.
also speccing into condition will leave u with very little dps.
i think what i would love to see in future is more punishing builds, like glam used to be.something like gw1 mesmers were. so a mindless 1111,2222,111111,222 spamming thief would literally kill himself, because he isnt careful.
i would love to move away from the whole duelist thing.i would like more group fight based skills.more aoe that are not relying on clones as clones die way too quick in a zerg.
also if someone wants to have a more supportive build, a few buffs in that direction would be nice.
well who knows, maybe they will put more effort into buffing our build diversity, by adding certain skills or giving mantras a whole new makover. i would love to see more options so we could see mesmers running dps(phantasm/shatter specs), condition mesmers( confusion/punishing/interrupt builds) and support mesmers(boonshare,/condition cleansing/reflecting builds)

yer i would love to see the mesmer not have to rely on their clones being alive to do anything, unless your running a shatter build having all your clones destroyed can mean that you lose alot of your dmg in fights, wouldn’t mind seeing them rebuffed or make our base attacks stronger.

Although it has things in common with a glamour build, it relies more on reflection and toughness and I’ve had a good time with it so far. I’m not much for a condition build (although https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/mesmer/Guide-Illusionary-Bomberman-PvX-build/first is a blast to run in pvp, people expect the phants but not the bleed and down before they know they’re dead). And of course in a zerg your clones will die fast, but if you stay out of melee and use yourself as a source of nonstop reflection it’s a different way of supporting and staying alive.
