Make Feedback Ground AOE .
Yeah I prefer it the way it is, and wish more abilities worked this way. But thats personal preference.
Feedback does not require line of sight to cast. This is unique and helpful, it should be left alone.
One of my favorite things about Feedback is that it’s an instant-cast ability in that it has no cast time and can be used while channeling, auto-attacking, etc.
Making it a ground-target ability would mean that it couldn’t be able to be used on the fly like that anymore, since you’d be required to target a spot to place it. (It might also require a cast time, too)
There has been times while playing that I wish I could place it but I think a nice compromise would be to be able to place it on allies as targets as well as enemies. It kind of makes sense, too… since the bubble works both ways. (It reflects projectiles from within, or protects those inside from getting hit by projectiles)
So, rather than a ground target… I’d like for it to be able to be cast on any target, friend or foe, rather than only being able to be cast on enemies like it works now.
You can’t make skills ally-targeted.
I prefer the current system over ground-targeted. Just increase the size a bit for oversized mobs.
I agree with everyone else; the skill is perfect in its present state.

And give Anet the chance to say “We make it better to use, so we can nerf it”?
No ty.
Also, it’s perfect as it is.
Most used: Guard/Mes/War/Nec/Ele.
Yes, i use 5 chars at time. Because REASONS.

Yeah, before asking for changes to a skill, just remember that changing a skill means anet gets their hands on it, which should be avoided at all costs unless the skill is broken to uselessness.

Hence, asking the community. And they have spoken.

Agreed. As is. You can also semi ground target it, just not very accurately.
I think making it ground targeted would open up a lot more tactics and position awareness.
I mainly play WvW, and I tend to cast my abilities in places where I THINK the enemy player will go. WvW players tend to move around a lot and I try to use AoE to either round them up better or to get the most damage out of the ability as possible.
When you cast AoE, the enemy can generally react quick enough to get out of it, but if you cast it just in front of where they are running, it is much harder to react and get out of it quickly.
I will also sometimes blink in front of where I cast it so I can illusionary wave them back into it.
Feedback to me is kind of on training wheels and I wish it behaved similar to other AoE skills. I would like to use it like I use other AoE: to preemptively target an area that I think will give me an advantage if I cast it there.
I will say, the ability to turn off the right click to target binding fixed a lot of issues with Feedback. Nothing was worse than thinking you have an enemy targeted only to lose that target and have Feedback cast somewhere off screen.
I also like casting Feedback on gates in WvW, but sometimes it goes bonkers and is cast in weird spots. Ground targeting would make this more predictable
But either way, I have adapted to how it works. It would be nice to have a little more freedom and let me choose where to place it for better field tactics
Feedback is awesome the way it is, leave Britney alone~

Why not? Let’s break the mold!

knowing anet it would break the mold, the coding, the game and probably would have something to do with the CERN super collider blowing up Earth.

The current way of coding doesn’t allow this. There’s no healing class, abilities which affect allies are AoE (or Guardians “teleport to ally with lowest health”), targeted spells automatically target an enemy when using the button.
And it’d be very awkward to implement this and you keep spamming all your skills into CD until you realize, you misclicked and targeted an ally.
I don’t think it’d be that great. Feedback is snappy to fire and doesn’t need LoS. That’s two big upsides we’d lose with such a change.
