hey guys! makin a mesmer soon. I usually play WvW and I find mesmers one of the hardest to go against haha. Any good builds out there?
Making mesmer (mainly WvW)
There are plenty of great builds running around!
Look for Blackwater, Shatter, and Phantasm (or Phantasm hybrid) builds if you like roaming. Blackwater is a conditiony/stealthy build, Shatter is usually a nimble power-burst, and Phantasm builds often rely on pets and personal evasion.
Zerg-focused builds can be a bit trickier. We used to have some Glamour/confusion builds, but a lot of those got toned down a while ago. Nowadays, I see some supportive phantasm, shatter, and reflection-focused builds. Pretty much anything with 20-30 in the “Inspiration” trait line gives you a nice solid start and many focus on boons and reflects.
Finally, keep your eyes on the forums! There’s an “official forum mesmer guild” around and they’re celebrating the new balance patch with a “December build contest”! Lots of great builds will be posted and updated over the next week or so.
