Mantra--usability and resetting
I really like the Mantra build. I haven’t come around to it in PvE/WvW yet because I haven’t leveled up enough to get the traits. However, it’s been pretty fun in PvP.
Anyhow, I’m wondering if it is a bug (and would one day be fixed) that all of the Mantra charges disappears when you zone in/event happen/you walked into 2 feet of water? It’s been really painful in the PvP map because when I zoned in, my Mantra charges disappear. When I jump into water, it also disappears.
You need to have the same mantras set as utility skills on your underwater bar. If they’re setup on both you won’t lose the charges.
Heck, there are other times in which the charges seemingly disappear for no apparent reason (do they count as “boon” and can be removed by enemies?)
I’ve been running a mantra build for a while now (and love it) and haven’t ever seen my charges get stripped. It’s easy to lose count of how many times you activate them if you’re not paying attention though.
The casting is also quite buggy. Not being able to cancel the cast, and also having the kitten thing going on cooldown when I had to cancel it with a roll is massively annoying.
This is the same thing that happens on any skill (any profession) with a cast time. If you interrupt the cast it goes on cooldown for 3-4 seconds.
Are all these intended features? Will they one day be fixed?
I don’t think anything here is a bug so I doubt it’ll change.
On the point of losing charges for no reason—I was in PvP, charged everything up, then suddenly all of them disappeared. I charged them up, then they were gone again. Then again. Then again. Which of course lead to me getting killed, since I couldn’t even heal myself.
After respawning, the charges started working ok. It still disappeared a few more times during that game, but not all the time.
You can accidentally cancel the cast at the end and it won’t finish.
