Guild Wars 2

So I made this build and I like it so far. (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/mesmer/Guide-The-Chaos-Maestro-Support-Builds/first#post1457861) I like playing a support-y type roll. I’m using the 0/10/30/30/0 build and I have Restorative Mantras traited in; thing is, when I cast my mantras they don’t heal like they should. In fact, they don’t heal my allies at all.
At first I thought that maybe that I wasn’t healing my teammates fast enough to keep up with the damage mobs or bosses were doing so I thought “Okay, I just have to practice this more and I should be fine.” I decided to test it out last night and I had my friend go up to a random mob and let it attack him to lower his health. I spammed ALL of my mantras and he got 0 heals.
It’s not like my heals are bad either. In my hero panel my heals show they are at 1,199 and when I hover over the skill (at level 80) it says that the healing is 2,840. The 2,840 is supposed to be per cast, so when I cast mantra of pain/mantra of recovery/mantra of pain, I should be healing for 8,520. That’s a pretty decent chunk of health. Not to mention if I use another mantra like power cleanse, I can do 11,360 heals.
Has anyone else noticed this issue?

The heal triggers when you prepare a mantra, not when you activate it. Cf. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Restorative_Mantras

Mantra of Pain is your friend. Spam it.

Allways charge other mantras while casting the Mantra of Pain so you can permanently charge mantras.
Healing mantras are awesome choice for enemies like subject alpha. You can get a heal per sec of ~800 per person. Neat ;D

I run mantra all the time and havent noticed any difference. Its on every channel (well, the end of every channel), not every cast.
