Masterful Reflection
Yes only to #4 shatter. I don’t know why they refuse to make it works with Signet. It’s not like it will make it OP, it will make signet build actually more interesting.
Also, the reflection animation is a little longer than the time of distortion/reflection so it can be tricky.
I agree distortion should work when we start channeling it or make Signet of Illusion faster to activate. This Signet is weird. It’s good for Phantasm and Shatter, but only Shatter will actually activate it (If they ever take the signet in their utility…)
Also, distortion on signet makes no sense for half signets; the only signets that would proc distortion instantly are signets that already impair your opponent on their own:
- signet of domination: 0,25s cast time, stuns for 3s
- signet of midnight: instant, blind nearby foes
What do I care about being invulnerable for 1s if my opponents are blinded or stunned? The only benefit would be against groups of people and, even then, the benefit is too insignificant to justify occupying a trait in the duelling tree (that has a lot to offer). The only signet that would benefit from it is signet of illusions IF distortion activated on channeling, because it would protect you for 1s while you channel the skill but it’s not.
Making distortion activate on channeling rather than on activation wouldn’t be overpowered because:
- signet of midnight is instant, it wouldn’t change a thing
- signet of domination is fast cast, the change wouldn’t even be noticeable
- signet of inspiration is usually involved in supporting builds; timing it to protect yourself and, at the same time, buff your party is very unlikely.
- signet of illusions is the only one that would benefit from it, actually giving a little meaning to that trait noone takes and that signet I rarely see people using.
Besides, no one is going to run 3 signets for 3s distortion. There are so many awesome utilities that even putting one signet on your bar is already sacrifying some
cool skills that would grant you survivability and some kind of utility.
Much more interesting would be a X% chance to auto-evade when using a signet.
