Maximizing AoE Quickness
I don’t consider myself experienced enough to answer your question correctly, but.. Signet of Inspiration copies them 1:1 on duration and stacks, if I remember right. However, if you have any boon duration, it should boost the copied boons by the boon duration again as well, so whilst you yourself get quickness with boon duration once, they get it with boon duration twice.
Iunno, might be saying complete nonsense here, but that’s my theory!
Hi,
I’m trying to maximize AoE quickness with my chronomancer. Right now my rotation is:
Continuum Split (3 illusions)
Timewarp
Mimic
Well of Action
Well of Precognition
Well of Action
*Continuum Shift)
Mimic
Well of Action
Well of Precognition
Well of ActionThis gives me (AoE) 12sec of quickness, as well as well as quickness throughout the entire chain (~5ish seconds)
So far so good!
If I take Illusionary Inspiration (“…Whenever you summon a phantasm, cast Signet of Inspiration.”) and cast a phant after the chain, people around me seem to get more quickness than I do, but I can’t really figure out how much. Does anyone know how exactly how Signet of Inspiration (“…Active: Copy all of your boons to nearby allies”) works with quickness?
TL:DR How does Signet of Inspiration copy quickness?
Last I knew the signet wasn’t updated whenever quickness was made a boon so you can’t actually copy quickness to your allies with it.

The boons you have on your Mesmer get copied to your team members, but your own boon duration does not change. So in the chain you described above, when you pop Signet (or use a traited Phantasm spawn to do it) your teammates will get an additional 12 seconds of quickness while your own quickness does not change.
If you hunt through my recent posting history, you’ll find a build description that does 90%-100% team alacrity uptime alongside 90% team quickness uptime as long as you have a herald with you. The herald just needs to pulse their facet of nature to give 50% boon duration to everyone.
The general idea is you do a rotation that uses action, time warp, and shield 5 (and other stuff, but those are the bits for quickness) on a kitten recharge, which provides enough continual quickness to reach 90% uptime without having to use any manual boon sharing.
@FrenchFry: Signet works fine with quickness, it’s just unnecessary in the alacrity/quickness build.
So with Superior Rune of the Chronomancer (6×2 seconds of quickness for the caster) and Signet of Inspiration/Illusionary Inspiration you will be able to give nearby allies around 30sec of quickness?
I can’t really seem to mimic that in the pvp zone however hmmm.
Quickness has a max stack of 9. If you’re using Runed Wells for your source of quickness you could only get a theoretical max of 18 seconds (9×2 using Rift, Mimic, and/or Signet of Inspiration).
