Does anyone still use the 0/20/0/25/25 S/X Mesmer build? I was looking to try it but I couldn’t find anything about it anywhere.

You don’t need 25 in Illusions anymore since Celerity moved down to the Master minor. The new setup is 0/30/0/25/15 or 10/20/0/25/15.

I really don’t understand why people keep suggesting 10/20. 30 in dueling is a strict requirement due to the extra precision, critical damage and empowering mantras. Mesmers are taken for reflect utility, so you want to get the most out of your reflects as possible, not taking a lousy second phantasm damage modifier.

Or 10/30/0/20/10.

What would be most optimal?
100 power vs 20% illusion recharge

If you somehow maintain 3 phantasms up then go 10/30/0/20/10. Usually that’s not the case so the extra 20% recharge is far superior to 100 power.
As for 10/20.. in a scenario that doesn’t require reflects at all I think the difference is minimal. In any other situations(i.e. most) 10/20 gets significantly worse. Also considering said no reflect scenario you must run pistol and sword offhands since warden is kinda bad deeps even though the cleave is nice for thrash. So you need both cooldown traits anyways and the phantasmal fury is a must. There really isn’t a line to remove points from to gain a significant dps boost. You’re looking at a minor gain(if any) while losing a ton of utility. Remember than mantras also provide party-wide support besides being flat 4% dps boosts.

Was what i thought, but rarely play on my mesmer :>

I get an impression that everyone’s forgetting that IC also applies to Sword #4. Sword #4 hits like a truck on a successful block and having it on a lower CD means higher DPS.

IC is probably the best trait mesmers can get.

Also reduces the CDs for Illusionary Leap and Decoy which pretty much every Mesmer uses.
