What i am trying to say is thatYOU can improve YOUR time if you take empowering mantras and pick duelist and swordsman

what am i trying is to get the classes with dps builds, and if you want to help show me your own videos it will help me like other classes already helped
Using videos to improove the understanding in the use of the builds rather then just read a comment saying if you do this it will be better then that.

mantra % buff illu % buff phantasm % buff all offensive stats pushed o max + vulnerability. High dmg from mesmer results also in reflects which is obviously hard to demonstrate on this mob.

All pioneers stood alone at the beginning of their journey! But u should really think about your builds before u publish it in wrong terms! u´ve been missing at least 12%-16% dmg by mantras, so it´s not really a dps build for pve.

You can check brazil dps test on google. He is around 20 if i recall correctly.

I just visited necro forum, necro killed in 13 secs…
I don’t understand. On the indestructible golem in the mists, a mesmer (30/30/0/0/10) is as fast as a warrior. Which is huge for the ramp up time that we need to set up phantasms.
Also, with the same build and just with 3 swords clons (we got 20 stacks of vulnerability), mesmer are faster than a dagger necro(30/25/0/0/15).
Well at Dec. 10. we are able to start the fight with 3 phantasms … so …

Yeah, I have great hopes with this change. Otherwise, I am really thinking into shelving my mesmer.
If you are about damage only – yes. However passive damage, utility (incl reflection) and a almost 200k dmg TW is what the Mesmer is about.

The problem with Mesmer DPS is Confusion damage, it depends on how fast your target uses skills. The faster they use skills, the higher your DPS. So, using the giant as a gauge for DPS can be misleading.

Well, that may be true for condition mesmers, but not for those who go for direct damage. Which is where our highest dps is located at usually (an exception might be if you somehow manage to get 25 stacks confusion + some bleeding on a mob (or player lol) and this mob (or player) spams attacks like no tomorrow… but yeah; I guess it’s safe to say that this won’t happen often enough to count on it for dps).

Yeah I didn’t try pistol, but the point of the warden was to have a phantasm close to the giant for a quick shatter But I’ll try with a pistol tonight I guess ^^

Thanks ^^ Yeah like I said in the description I made a few mistakes, I really didn’t try to have a perfect kill time. The main hand sword is Bolt and the off hand one is the Fiery Dragon Sword from the HoM
If you look at the video description, you’ll see that I didn’t use Hound of Balthazar because I only wanted to use mesmer skills and not racial skills But I know it’ll be a burst increase since I was able to do a 20s kill without TW with the 30/30/0/0/10 build
Also in a group setup, Hounds of Balthazar isn’t a viable option.
EDIT: It seems my warden was bugged after the first spin, so under 15s can be done easily i’d say
The best I could get with 10/15/0/25/20 (III-II-V/IX-III/X, s/s, s/p) was 22.3 seconds. Compared to the 16s kill that’s 40% slower. Do builds really make THAT much difference?
Yes. He has 200 more power, 150 more precision, 15% more crit chance, 12% more damage from mantras, and maybe ~10% more damage due to vulnerability stacks.
All of that adds up to a pretty huge difference.
This is basically why the hardcore dungeon runners are so obsessed with optimal builds and berserker gear. Consider that just a build change made you kill 40% slower, even though your gear is as good; now think about someone who’s gone for tankier gear and a more ‘supportive’ build, you can easily end up taking three times longer to kill things than the ‘optimized’ player.
I cheated in some of my off-the-record attempts by using Dragon’s Breath Buns instead of curry butternut squash soup and killing trash before engaging the Giant to gain +200 power. The kill time was practically equal to my normal attempts (~1 second difference).
I am dissapointed with the new signet. I just had time to do a fast test (30-30-0-0-10) on the indestructible golem on the mists. The signet activation time is soo long that I actually got a poorer time compared to full mantras
I need to try it again when I’ll have time since I didn’t use the daze mantra (for more vuln) and I don’t really need feedback since I can interrupt it when it’s launching the grubs (so i’ll take a 4th mantra for a 4% more dmg boost)
Also I’ll do another try with the boost I get with a group setup (banners, 25 stack of might, fury, 25 stack of vuln on target, spotter, frost spirit)
My only issue with 30/30/0/0/10 and.full mantras I feel like a snail. I also think that we sacrifice to much dps if we take travelers or centaur runes. To finsh my venting, it is not fair that we are force to go mantras in order to get damage modifirts

Don’t go travelers in pve. It’s just an expensive WvW rune.

Nope. when I farm 60g I craft level a new toon. :-)
But with so much ascended stuff this days I should start picking I main. A hard thing to do in my case.
Well it’s a pain in the kitten to craft a heavy ascended armor – however I already own the full materials for my ascended armor (except daylies and dragonit ore ofc >_>)
It was a wise desicion to keep 2000 silk xD
