Mesmer Low lvl gear?
Why bother? You switch gear really often up until your first exotic set. But I suppose you can keep one look and constantly transmute it with your <80 stones
1. Don’t spend karma unless you absolutely have to have a certain look. Save it for level 80 and you won’t regret it.
2. Use transmutation stones to keep a look you like and get the best stats possible. Also don’t buy the level 35 rare set, wait for level 39. Level 39 set can use major runes and is cheaper than the 35 set.
3. If you need transmutation stones, just go around and do the exploration of each of the 6 major cities and complete each starter zone and that will give you 33 transmutation stones which is good for 6 upgrades.
4. If you need money, start selling the scales, fangs, etc. Yes they are needed for crafting, but it is generally cheaper to buy what they craft into then the mats themselves. Also if you are not doing cooking, many of those mats sell for decent prices.
Just buy a green/blue set whenever you feel like it. Buying a complete set including runes should never cost you more then 10 silver up to level 80. You can resell the set for 3-5 silver, so buying a new set like every 10 levels would cost you 35s. That way you always have good gear. Buying rares before you hit lvl 80 is totally not worth it IMO. It’s not going to speed things up to justify spending the cash/karma. Save your currency till your 80, so you can buy exo’s right away.
Oh and one more thing, don’t sell your salvage materials. You will need them sooner or later, and rebuying them is going to cost you… Instead just do harts/map completion. That way, your never short on cash for gear or trait booklets.

I always rage but never quit.
buy a blue set every 5 levels…
No need to spend any more money.
I bought a full set of rares for a lev 35 char once… Then I realized, I just blew almost 2 gold for literally nothing. Really. Go with blues. They are cheap and get the job done.
