Guild Wars 2

This is a short mesmer montage with some 1v1s. I understand these fights might not be the best , but I thought I’d share it on the Forums to see what people think.

also there was some in game lag during the first clip just after I did my burst , so I edited over it which is why it might look a bit strange. There was also lag in the last clip towards the end of the fight I missed my illusionary leap to Blurred frenzy combo which almost cost me the fight.

Also – I’d prefer feedback rather then “this was bad” or “this was good”

Well, firstoff, it’s a nice vid. What I like is that you really aren’t as insanely pro as other vid makers. The footage is easy to watch and keep up with.

Some advice on your fighting skills, try and use your sword for what it’s meant; melee. In some fights, mainly the first thief and warrior, you tend to stay in GS a bit long to my taste, as sword can be better in that setting. GS is more of an opener or closer (when they run or get distance).

Hey, might suggest you reduce the editing effect with the contrast. It’s a bit too dark and hard to see what’s going on but overall nice vid

what type of gear are your running?

your last fight against that theif lasted a little too long. Are you wearing bunker gear?

Aside from the last fight, it wasn’t bad. I’m not a big fan of bunker mesmer builds, but you pulled it off pretty nicely. Prepped for both burst and conitions with null field and phantasmal defender. As for the last fight, you nearly got downed from the 14 stacks of bleeding from the caltops you walked right into and stood in. You should be more careful where you step or perhaps equip a blink for situations where you’re immobilized or stunned.

Overall not bad though. Hard to judge your real skill level in hotjoins, but good video nonetheless.

Your playstyle isn’t bad, from what I can see. Unfortunately, I can’t see very much. Whatever you did with the colors and contrast makes your video almost unwatchable, for me at least. I would highly recommend NOT doing that in future videos.

Understood , I didn’t realise how dark it was until I uploaded it – I’ll stop with dark colours / contrast.

It’s slightly bunker gear , but now that you’ve said that , and I got another reply saying something similar – I’ll change it up a bit to give higher damage output.
