Okay so…since release, I haven’t wanted to make a legendary because I’ve felt they were all underwhelming, and not worth the time and dedication. But after taking a break, I decided what I was missing from my GW2 experience, was a goal. I came back, with a goal, and accomplished that goal…in 23 days ( before my break I had saved abunch of t6, got my clovers, gift of mastery, etc, so there wasn’t much else to do)

I crafted Quip. For my Mesmer. Which I am sad to inform you, is extremely disappointing. The 1 Skill that it changes is a .5sec cast, and it makes the noise once, Thieves get to use Unload, and make all kinds of racket, but my Phantasmal Duelist just sits on the sidelines and makes average Mesmery noises.

I’m sure I cannot be the only Mesmer that wishes this would change.

Anet. Make Phantasmal Duelist shoot confetti and make silly noises.

I would, and I can’t believe I’m saying this, actually aim to make Quip myself if it affected Phantasmal Duellist (easily my most used phantasm).

With any luck, mainhand pistol is somewhere down the track (so I can run a Pistol mainhand/Sword offhand combo). But yes yes yes to this.

To be fair, if our Duelists would cause it not only would we get really sick of the noise, so would everyone else.

Rather, I think we need offhanders to have a more generic effect change so that it affects your mainhand, too.

Likewise, terrestrial legendaries should cause some effect underwater and ofc vice-versa. Land-shark attacks with Kamohoali’i? :P

Congrats, now when you produce a clone it will have a confetti effect when it first spawn to let the world know that its a clone by saying “Tata!” as though the clone just popped out of a magical box. This effect also works when you produce a clone under water.

But that’s the whole point of having the quip on a thief or eng. The player on the other side of the world will have no choice but to use their hands to cover their ears instead of their keyboard and mouse. Effectively allowing you to kill them easier.

I agree, but REALLY NOW, you can’t expect a Legendary off-hand weapon to be all that amazing, besides the aura and the particles.

the Duelist phantasms should have quip equipped. Just imagine all of the confetti and toy noises!

Such a pity i havent’t read this before.
Much disappointment, not only the duelist, but i shouldn’t use Quip in pvp, because my clones don’t have offhand weapon -> no quip in their hands, no aura, no footfall effects.

Could make Bifrost instead :/
