Hi I’m currently on a Story MissionEstate of Decay at the moment and you have to KillThe Mouth of Zhaitan In Kitah Manse on my Mesmer account.

Now my problem lies that with the main boss you have to use ranged weapons I am a Mesmer I’m geared properly have my weapons properly that’s fine I use staff/greatsword or I thought it was fine for the boss, when I use a staff the winds of chaos keep bouncing From...Him and hitting the Orr shields and hammers spinning around him . so they attack me and I die

Same this with the great sword and its abilities they too do the same thing With the exception of Spatial Surge which does not bounce of hitting other mobs but its like that does no damage a And The...Mouth of Zhaitan. regens health very fast does anyone have any idea suggestions on how to kill him? have not tried scepter yet should i ?

Your right and I have changed the title, I have read the wiki with no help i know what to do its just I need to know what weapons a Mesmer should use to kill him without attracting other adds or mobs

Switch out your weapons with sword/focus and sword/pistol. Keep spamming phantasms and they’ll deal with him.

I can’t remember which weapon I used, probably just greatsword. Greatsword damage can’t be reflected, but you might get some damage back due to retaliation (= fixed amount, no reflect).

If you have problems with the story missions I would check the list below:

• Improve your own playstyle. What is currently happening and why are you dying? Are you getting debuffs? Does the mob has buffs? What does the text under the mobs name say.
• Assign key binds (including doge) and use them
• Check your gear and traits
• The saddest and probably the most likely: There is a new bug introduced with the latest update. e.g. after changing condition to be able to stack, there were some mobs who could unintentionally kill you pretty fast using stacking condition.
• If you can’t do it alone, ask in the map chat or lfg tool for help. (If you are online tomorrow I should have time to help you too, just whisper me, might take some time for me to answer, since I am most likely just standing around afk).

Or you might run a different build to support the NPCs instead of dps yourself. You can also bring consumable which give you pets and turrets.

If my memory is correct, I ran a GS power build for this one. But I guess PU should work well.
