Guild Wars 2

Hey everyone,

I came here to these Forums to ask for your opinions on whether a Mesmer/Thief Roaming Duo would work well in WvW. We’re both not too experienced players but we work well together and we want to become better players.

Would Mesmer/Thief work decently well in WvW for things like killing Dolyaks, and just trolling up-levels?

And I have to agree with most of them. Roaming with another Mesmer or Thief feels very powerful. Lots of survival, plenty of damage. A good thief/mesmer team can easily handle a group of 5+ players.

Mesmers and rhieves both have hith burst, mobility, stealth and disengages and stuff.

If you were to fight a group of 10 kittens with a mesmer/necromancer, the necromancer will die. Lets assume 5 kittens target the mesmer and rhe other 5 the nedromancer.

The necromancer probably has more hp/armor, so the mesmer will lose health quicker, and they will blink or stealth. Then all he kittens lose interest in the mesmer and all 10 zerg the necromancer. Once a kitten targets the necro, its really hard to draw aggro as a mesmer.

If you know what i mean :P. Im not saying that necros cant roam, im just saying they cant stealth or disengage.

TL;DR: mesmer/thief both have mobility, stealth and disengages=good!

Mesmers and thieves work very well together.

IMO, thieves work really well with a little bit of chaos. Not so much that no one is looking for the thief (like in a zerg fight), but just enough to add a little extra time between the destealth and the time your opponent focuses on the thief.

Mesmers are excellent at introducing a little choas into the fight.

Oh and one more quick thing, are they wanted for Arah/FotM much? I would play Guardian but they are soooo face-roll boring that I find Mesmer is way more fun.

Mesmer is more or less required for a fast and smooth Arah run. Fractals are pretty much the same.
