Mesmer all-around build (stats)
Some tips:
- dont go full zerker. Yes full zerk is good but irs obviously squishy.
- dont go hybrid. Going hybrid spreads out our stas alot and you eventually have to sacrafice something whether it be condi defense or pow. Choose power or condi. My personal pref is pow. Reason being condi has caps. If ur in zergs or pve ull mostly hit hat cap.
- if power focus on 4 out these stats: vit, pow, tough, crit dmg, prec. Also i would go vi and tough mix, only if you use the Zeker mixed with valks to get some hp. Having both is good but dont try to max them while loosing dmg. Id look for shatter or phanta builds.
- use glamours. Glamours are sick for zergs and pve. Movs in pve can hit hard so refelct it back. Id pribably only use the reflect because the others are sutuational unles u spec for a condi heavy build.
Im on my phone so sorry for errors gl
IMHO I feel that 20 20 30 0 0 is our most versatile trait set we have as a class. I run 3 different gear sets giving me the ability to switch play styles by simply switching gear and traits. Power / Crit , Condition / Tank, Hybrid. Personally I prefer Hybrid build for roaming. You can have a nicely rounded out set with the help of food and wvw buffs. At full Stacks I’m sitting at 3000 attack, between 1100 – 1300 condition damage ( depends on utilities IE. Signet of Domination ) 2770 armor, 21000+ HP, 50% critical chance, 76% critical damage. Just play around with the build editor to find the set that best suits your play style.

There is no build you can use which performs well in all game formats.
I’m afraid you’re going to have to spend five seconds retraiting for each game mode.
Game over, yo.
I use the same build for my necro and mesmer in pvp pve and wvw :p
Regarding the stats, a huge recommendation to Osicat’s builds, check the sticky in the forum. He always tries to add toughness while maintaining decent power and precision, which is helpful in dungeon/fractal/WvW.
However if you’re looking for “optimal” trait build, hendo is right. Power phantasm builds are easy in pve and can deal massive damage if you get all phantasms up. However they die too quick to do much damage in WvW so it is recommended to go for other builds. That being said IMO the best gameplay is the one you enjoy, don’t restrict yourself to optimal only but play the one that you have most fun.
Thanks for the replies.

No, like i said what i mean is regarding the stats – only. If there was a way to manage decently anything, chaging the weapons and traits according to the situation, but ALWAYS keeping the same gear. It would be a temporary measure to allow me to understand better the game and be able to afford a more sets with different stats more adequated to each different situation.

I get your point, but right now (I tried to explain above) i really prefer optimal than enjoyable, till i get to understand things better so that i can find out what is the most fun for me :p
I think i didn’t check Osicat’s build yet, i’ll read it with more attention later as well as the tips everyone mentioned above, thanks guys
Ok, so given that you want optimal play, it leaves you with only one choice: Zerker gear. Zerker gear is the only optimal choice for pve. This does leave you a bit limited in wvw though.
You’ll have a hard time in zergs when using zerker gear. There’s a lot of damage flying around, and it’s tough (although definitely possible) to stay alive in that environment. You’ll be pretty strong as a roamer with the right build and enough practice.
You probably want a mix of soldier/zerker gear. It won’t be optimal for PVE, but itll be close enough that its fine. Awesome for roaming/spvp, and good for zergs provided you have good positioning
