Mesmer build that's killing me in 3 seconds
Dying in 3s from a condi build? That sounds unlikely. Even if you literally eat all the damage and shatters and run around spamming AA in the air (to eat max torment and confusion damage).
Dying in 3s from a power build? Are you a berserker elementalist?
I do agree condi mesmer is too strong and just annoying (both to play or to play against) but you seem to be slightly exaggerating here.
In any case: just a hint. You can actually dodge stuff.
Probably standard condie build, but it would be more accurate to say that you’re killing yourself in 3 seconds. The standard burst loads up a decent amount of low duration confusion. If you just spam skills while you’ve got that confusion on you, you’ll kill yourself very rapidly.
What sort of build are you running? If we start there, it might help get you better answers as compared to speculation based upon the little information given about the Mesmer.

Oh Scept/Shield most likely. One use of skill 5 and the use of skill 3 along with mindwrack/mantra of Pain. This can kill in less than 3 seconds. But who knows. There is allot of damage out there nowadays.

Downed half a Zerg with gravity well, shield 5 and mistrust with perplexity runes, took maybe 3s but then they are mostly mindless 1 spamming morons who deserved to be floored by one guy in a kitten this full attack build.
Sadly enough survived to down me, while raezzing the downed. Still was hilarious seeing all the confusion procs.

Skcamow is evil and vindictive, but if you don’t feed him he’ll go supersonic.
I don’t video stuff but if you want to try it wait for a zerg (of your favourite dumb server) to get to lords room of ogrewatch. Blink up to the back of lords room from the entrance portal, preferable in stealth, and go ham on them.

Well i can also die to it so fast.. I run ele with not so much HP.
When someone attacks me out of stealth (or sowhow else surprise) I use skills as reflex. Its about 1-3 instants + at least 2 fast cast, target and in less then a second i did fire at least five skills and maybe trigger a passive stunbreaker and dodge.
So now imagine if the stealth attack was a mesmer unloading 12 confusion stacks ….
While this reaction wins against a thief (or most other classes) i die from confusion if its a condi mesmer …
Here half a year training is not a benefit …. Its diffrent if i see him coming but still very hard and a loss if he is good.
