Mesmer class over.
I know, it’s horrible that you should be expected to land your skills like other players… as in no dodges, blinds, LoS etc. Terrible. How can you possibly play under these conditions?
What’s the issue? I actually thought mesmers came through the latest nerf in ok shape. Portal got nerfed a little, but not unreasonably, and clone spawning now requires LoS and can be evaded, which hurt in some circumstances (WvW keep assault), but didn’t feel class breaking.
So, am I missing something?

Pls ppl, if anyone have any solid problems and wonder how to improve, make a question and try listen to advice, so many great mesmers that can help you if you prepared to listen and work on find a solution. I am no super tPvP mesmer but Il answer any real questions reguarding shatter spec in wvwvw in my thread. feel free to ask and I try help. For tPvP etc I recomend ask Nero, he seem like a nice guy and prob spend as mouch time in that as I do in wvwvw. He have a own thread aswell.

Ur missing the point, that If we try to spawn izerk or iduelist while you will dodge, Phantasm won’t show and skill fail overall.
This makes us lose long cd which gives us a lot of dmg/dps for nothing.
Imagine Being a Warrior doing unload or #2 skill of gs and your first hit with is misses or it dodged and whole skill fails to land – you don’t hit with 1st hit, no more hits while there should be 5-10 of them.
same idea for your AoE, imagine your ranger with #5 LB skill, first wave of skill fails to land on at least 1 target, and whole skill fails – dissapears.
In this case when you dodge, Phantasm Should still spawn, but for example miss with its 1st hit, end yet untill it’s killed or you shatter it, it should stay in fight and deal dmg – but this doesn’t happen, in some cases phantasm never spawns and we lose a lot of dmg due to that.
That’s pretty much how dodging works buddy. I suggest you try counting how many times your opponent uses it before unloading your best moves. Kinda like when you play any other class.
