My mesmer owns 14 exotic weapons. Not one is a torch.

I only take off my Torch when I need swiftness. I haven’t picked up my GS in 6-7 weeks, and haven’t equipped the 1h sword in 3-4 weeks.

I’ve actually never cast Moa on my Mesmer during live.

I never used Torch… but that wouldn’t count right?

Everytime i see our warrior in our group (only if he is from my guild) wants to use 100b i just pull the mob away from him with focus #4….

Never used OH sword… or greatsword.

I find the idea of illusions using pistols abhorrent/aesthetically unpleasing and refuse to partake, despite effectiveness

I still use the GS with the bugs since november 14th. shame

I abuse this class so much as it has some of the highest burst potential in the game while being extremely hard to put down or hell..even touch.

I have always disliked GS, but I still use it for bosses in PvE since it has a lot more dps than Staff in my build.

I used to have a torch.

Back in the day, you could use Retaliation to kill Trebuchets in WvW. Have 5 people stand where it’s hitting, use Temporal Curtain on the Focus, weapon swap to a Torch, use Prestige and the AoE Retaliation Combo would gradually kill the treb! Then they “fixed” it…

The Blast combo from Prestige still has some utility, but carrying around a Torch for those situations is not worth the bag space when other professions have much more reliable Blast finishers. I liked it a lot better in beta when you could use the stealth to get off a quick heal or recharge a mantra.

I can’t jump

I make my movements mimic my illusions, pretending to be a clone is fun…but not for the other guy.

I’d like an Elite skill that spawns a Giant illusionary butterfly that fly’s into air and has a big old whirl wind of small butterflies aoe attack! Because lets face it, Mesmer’s need more butterflies!

Just imagine it, casting it on top of a keep in WvW, watching it high up in the sky just launch a billion tiny illusionary butterflies in a whirlwind so that enemies cant see anything and get damaged at the same time… oooh the dream!

I don’t use portal.

Scepter is my main weapon. Really!

Use it with either focus or sword OH.

I swear Mesmer is better than Ranger.

I REALLY hate people that LEAVE the time warp bubble or attack JUST OUTSIDE it!

Sometimes when I am really lazy in pve I just sit in staff 2 and auto attack and running in circles watching the pretty bouncing orbs.

For most DE’s, I just spam staff 1.

^ Hah, someone even lazier than me. I at least hit 2 on cooldown too! :P

Sometimes I wonder why I’m doing pitiful damage, then the my clone dies and I realize I just confused my character for it. I also yell, “FUS RO DAH,” when using GS skill #5. And just to prove that Mesmers are natural mind-screws, I’m "this"close to getting my guild’s leader (who’s a playboy) to turn his main into a female. Why? Because nothing is more fun than watching a human female hit on female norns, especially when heir breasts are at eye level!

I suck at portals. I hate the color pink, and I secretly covet thieves’ stealth culling abilities…

I pretend that the butterflies are actually more shards of glass as the illusion breaks. And that pink is another word for (insert another color here).

My character is manly!

I haven’t actively played a mesmer since one month into live. I only log on to my mesmer to test updates, cringe, quickly shove the mesmer back onto the shelf and cover it with a sheet, then log back onto my guardian.

I love how pretty the butterfly effect is! It adds insult to injury, like beating the crap out of people while wearing a tutu!

I have at times thought my keyboard was broken when my clone didn’t respond to my movement commands. This eventually prompts a wish to see my own character’s name overhead instead of nothing.

I waste moa morph on random thieves just because I know it makes them mad.

I secretly want a Mesmer elite skill called “Clone Army” which spawns like 10 clones for a duration of time ;D

Or an elite skill with a MASSIVE phantasmal beast animation. Tehehehe…

I gave up this game cuz of the never ending mesmer nerfs.

I was afk for 30 seconds when I was soloing a rifle-wielding champion, since my 2 pWardens and pDefender were taking care of it… My pDefender was still alive after the fight!

I love s/s and therefore I´m always in meleerange, even… or especially when I shouldnt be.

I’ve been caught rezing my own clones….D’oh.

That was after my guildies complaining about rezing my clones and not me in a dungeon. I told them it’s easy and explained how they can tell us apart…

I’ll only pick symetrical greatswords skins because of how the number 1 skill rotates about the swords axis.

Once getting 3 pistol phantasms out, I use mass invise to make them have their colour.

I sometimes feel guilty shooting a little asura straight in the face with magic bullet.
Never stopped me though :p

THIS, so very much, I really want to see what the leveling feels like now that I know the class so much better and the nerfs hit so hard. Also, I often go super tanky Phantasm build and just run around seeing how many of the enemy team I can get to chase me before they finally take me down. “Catch the Mesmer” is the best game since “Catch the Teemo” you should try playing it.

I play a female mesmer because the guy looks gay and the girl looks hot. I like watching her swim :0

I stopped using GS before any of the nerfs because I had a feeling it was coming.

I like to suicide shatter burst competing zergs on occasion.

Someone after my own heart. Half the fun of being a Mesmer is screwing with people, including teammates!

Once I put a portal half a foot in front of a 100 foot cliff and then went back to the zerg and dropped my second portal and told everyone to go through.

I’d rather have hexes then Phantasms :P

Sometimes, I get so used to Mass Invis., that I don’t want to replace it with Time Warp, even when I’m in a zerg.

I haven’t removed staff from my weapons ever since I get a white staff from the vendor (when I was level 4 lol)

Sometimes, I like to make Phantasm tanks, my iDefender with Signet of Illusions + Phantasmal Regeneration + 20% HP Phantasm trait.

I don’t get stuck under the ground anymore with Phase Retreat, but I do get stuck INSIDE rocks.

I’ve yet to buy Signet of Midnight, even though I have well over 130 skill points.

I haven’t used the Greatsword until I reached 80 and started WvW, but I left it in my bank now since the iBerserker bugs.

I LOVE the iSwordsman, it’s just that my Sword/Focus(or Pistol) + Staff can’t make room for it. But, I do occasionally play with it while solo in PvE for fun.

I play a human MALE mesmer.

I started eating food for buffs in WvW ‘cause I’m too lazy to hide myself among my clones.

I’ve portaled people off the jumping puzzle because I don’t like being used =|.

That’s the best idea I’ve seen in a while.

I’ve never used Moa Morph, even during the beta’s because I don’t feel the skill fits the theme of the Mesmer.

Sometimes when I am lazy, I won’t summon illusions but just beat my enemies down with my sword.

When portal was on a 60 second cool down, I would always have it on my utility bar, even during dungeons and boss fights… it has come in handy twice, one for kiting some boss, and once to help an ally that glitched into the ground mid fight (in combat so he couldn’t waypoint out).

Confession:

My Mesmer isn’t wearing any underware. But don’t get too excited because hes a hairy, pear-shaped, 385lb norn named “Sretchy-Pants”.
