You should be able to destroy turret engis but if you are unable to, they will be nerfed soon so no worries.

Because a lot of those aspects of the game are broken or useless. Who cares if there broken we should be playing them for fun not effectiveness right.

It’s a wonder why anyone plays any aspect of this game at all :p

If you’re spamming 1 in fractal 50 you’re in for a rough awakening, same goes for facetanking fractal 50 mossman or archdiviner, a moosman or archdiviner autoattack does more damage than a zerker thief backstab combo and it happens more often with even less ramp up.

Bonus points if you try to 1 spam with ranger in fractal 50 with that precious mainhand sword attack chain that locks you in animation on the final strike.

But yeah GW2 in general is the most challenging game in any format. I was just making a point that getting uppity about one format can get the same flippant response such as I did when a WvW guy disses PvE while the WvW format outside dueling/roaming is one big zerg joke.

You really should care about a class throughout the whole game. A class that is a solid choice (like guardians) for most content that feels useful and never a burden whether it be PvE, WvW or PvP is what mesmers should strive for.

A lot of people get into a class via PvE, it’s how I was first introduced to Mesmer and if it is pants on head ret….yeah, well people won’t play it. The less people playing a class, the less likely it will get much needed attention and fixes.

Ah well, here’s hoping the specialisations and trait revamps will be good and sensible.

Being playing Mesmer for a while now and to be honest i have no clue on the damages but i think i am doing pretty well. Since many boss fight i tend to have all 3 phantasm up for almost the whole cooldown duration unless he have some kind of ridiculous aoe. I am very glad this game don’t have dps meter to be honest.

Having no built-in dps meter hasn’t stopped anyone from min-maxing for dps…it’s just made it a bit more awkward to do.

No DPS meter doesn’t mean I can’t eyeball the difference between your killing your respective mob versus everyone else killing theirs.

Sure, stack situations it is easier to hide, but not in those where each person has to spread out for a second.

I can also notice which skills you are/aren’t using … whether or not we’re getting much Might (i.e. don’t tell me you’re phalanx strength spec when we have 0 incoming Might during fights), etc.

Also, GW2 doesn’t have an add-on dps for in-game, but it’s not the first MMO to do that. To deal with games that make this decision, the truly competitive often use a separate application that sniffs their network traffic for GW2 and parses out the DPS information.
