Mesmer damage percentage spreading
In a full DPS PvE build, your phantasms are more than 50% of your total DPS. Hard to say how this translates into a WvW build, since the weapon/phantasm choice is usually very different. But hopefully this gives you an idea.
There is no formula or anything. Your damage is your own damage, your phantasms do their own damage based on their weapon. You have to compare the DPS numbers from your weapon’s auto-attack compared to the damage per hit from the phantasm.
So me attacking with a phantasm is all together 150% of my dmg? (PvE situation)
Thanks. I should’ve actually done this in the first place, but I’ll dig through the wiki and post here what I’ve found out. Possibly it can be discussable, or at least helpful to other players.
EDIT: Well, after a little bit of research, it’s clearly noted in the rangers pets wiki that pets and the player fight as one and share attack and armor, making the whole calculation.
But in the mesmers wiki for both clones and phantasms, and illusions all together, it doesn’t mention any kind of damage seperation. So as maxinion (Thanks again ^^) said, they deal their own damage depending on the players damage, but don’t actually TAKE away players damage itself.
The research from the wiki is posted for those who are interested in the same topic as I was.
