Hey all, i noticed all the mantras a mesmer has are in the utility slots and the healing slot. well i had a idea for a elite mesmer mantra.

Mantra of Overload.
Meditate, cast a spell that will damage your target and four surrounding targets.
Damage: 1200
Number of Targets: 5
Radius: 300
Range: 1,200
End Effect: Chaos Storm.
Additional effects: Caster receives two random conditions and suffers mental overload.
Mental Overload: Caster is stunned for 1/2 second and unable to cast the remaining charge for 90 seconds.

I don’t mean to sound rude.
But is that all?

If all I’m hitting is 1200 on an AoE, and a chaos storm, I couldn’t possibly validate that over either Timewarp or Gravity well, depending on the situation.

On top of stunning yourself. I just.
No. When would I ever want to do a bit of damage AND stun myself?

How about making it to where all mantras instantly charge for X number of seconds?
Could actually bring mantras into the meta.

I want Mantra of Telekinesis.

Launch foes in an area away.
Radius: 360
Range: 1200
Damage: 700 or so with 1000 power?
Launch: 600

I feel this is more in line with Mantras and is less gimmicky than the Overload which acts like a corruption from Necro, which is basically a failure of skills.

2.75s cast, 2 charges

Power Irony
Applies “Ironic punishment” to up to 5 foes in the area around you (360 radius)
Ironic punishment (10s): All spells take 2.75s to cast.
