It makes sense. Reflected projectiles are effectively recasted by you with all their original properties, so including the weapon type definitely fits the bill. For example, if you reflect a Necromancer’s Spectral Grasp, the Necromancer will be pulled to you.

He’s saying the achievement popped up while he was on his Mesmer, which can’t equip Longbows to kill people.
Interestingly, we cannot get focus kills since killing by illusions does not count.
If a longbow mob shoot to a reflection-traited curtain, gets reflected and kills himself, does it count as a longbow or focus kill?
Necromancers get sword mastery from kills with wells, seems most classes have something like this. That is likely how your ranger got staff, killing with a trap or something.
What if you pop feedback on a foe (such as the mesmers in AC) that reflect projectiles, and your party launches a whole bunch of projectiles in, so they stack up over the next couple seconds, then the inner one ends and they all crush the foe. What would THAT count towards?
