Wchich one do you think looks better in cloth armor and fits mesmer overall?
Human or Norn female ?

Norn seems to look more hot seems like she can handle herself while human looks like rally thin stick which will break soon…

Tho human faces looks better

I think human due to the slender builds and small stature.

Norn are just a bit too muscular and tall which only makes you stand out more in large groups.

On topic: i think humans fit better for the class. Norns seems to much like the “me smash things” type

I went Norn, Love tattoos. That and Raven Lodge. Raven is all about misdirection and using your head to defeat more powerful enemies. What mesmers are all about.

I love to be original and take a Charr, or Norn.

Human tend to be more barbie attractive and norn tends to look more athletic and tall in game play. (assuming we are talking female…since male norn are a for more significant choice then looking better in armor)

The armor set allot of people like is the gladiator set, and humans show off a little bit of hips, while the norn show off the abs a little more. Go to the heart of the mists and check it out with preview

Humans have more useful racial skills that you might use. Lots of people are fond of the Dogs ultimate while solo.

asura have the best racial for this class in radiaion field

for looks, asura tier 3 cultural armor is Zojja’s armor which i adore

human tier 3 light armor is amazing on a female. not so great on males.

norn cultural did nothing for me.

so if looks – human female. if functionality – female asura

Except that it’s inferior to all the combo fields mesmers already have (Null Field, Feedback, Time Warp elite, and Staff 5) so the odds of ever using it are slim. Radiation Field is great for classes like Warriors that don’t already have their own fields, not so much for Mesmers and Elementalists.

Mesmers have such good utility and elite skills that there are no racial skills for any of the races you’ll ever use over the profession skills, at least outside of just playing around.

I went with the human, she’s now 60 and will be my main at 80, but I think you can make a hotter norn. Human has about 3 faces that are attractive, the rest are either plain or wtf.

Norn towers over everyone and everything, as do their illusions, which may be more distracting to foes than smaller human ones.

Racial skills for both humans and norn are interesting, but useless because there are so many good mesmer skills. Your problem as a mesmer is one of riches – you’ll be wanting to equip many more than just 3 utility skills at one time, and the human or norn racials won’t even merit consideration.

My advice, make one of each, experiment with character creation, play the intro area, get a feel for the aesthetics, and decide.
