Mesmer's Phantasm/Clone HP Interface..
Unfortunately our Illusions have such a small health pool that an interface would be largely worthless. Odds are if an illusion is targetted or caught in crossfire then it’ll be dead before you can really do much with it.
As a semi-shatter/condition build, this would be invaluable to me! Knowing clone/phantasm health would greatly empower me to time shatters better. They may have low health pools, but they can sometimes last a bit, and every .25 seconds counts (little shatter nerf joke there.
@Dastion.3106, If you are talking like 2 or more players directly hitting your clone/phantasm. Yes you are right they will instantly die. But sometimes they can stay a-bit long. Like in Dungeon. My phantasms can last for 2-3 hits.
@Moxic.5892, you got my point mate! I don’t play other class with pets like Ele, necro nor Ranger. But if they don’t have it yet. This Pet,Clone,Phantasm Health Bar interface can be helpful too for them.
Just wee little bars extending up from each illusion dot above the skills would be nice. Would help to know roughly how many hits that illusion has left. One of the great things about illusions is being able to turn your back on them at any time. A similar thing could possibly be done for each of the other pet skills for other classes above the utility skill button.
Further, a toggle to turn the feature on and off would be most beneficial, just a keybind toggle would be fine even so it’s not an actual option in the options interface.

Rangers do have Pet health… And I think necros don’t need to worry so much about their pets health because most when most of their pets die they cause a condition or some form of damage I think (just makes sense with the necro design) So they may not care as much about the health of the pet. Ele’s pets are with them for a predetermined amount of time so the amount of health they have is usually irrelevant.
As I understand it mesmers and rangers are the only ones that TRULY need to keep track of their “pets” health because rangers are punished by having a longer cooldown between swapping pets if they summon there alt pet after the other ones been beaten to uselessness vs if they were to summon the other just before it hits 0 health… Mesmers
need to keep track of it because if we have shatter heavy builds then chances are we don’t have it so clones don’t cripple/confuse/cause random conditions when killed so if a clone gets killed right before the shatter button is pushed then the effectiveness is worn down significantly.
So in short the only two professions of the ones that have “pet like” capabilities I think mesmers and rangers are the only ones that really need to keep track of the pets health… If someone that alts a necro/ele comes across this and has more accurate information please post it.
When I play my ele I would love to know how my earth ele is going because he’s usually tanking for me. A health bar would be great if it means I can get out a water heal on him to extend his fight before he becomes dust.
What if the dots instead shrunk or changed color to indicate the health of illusions? It could be a sliding color, where slices are taken out of a purple dot and replaced with red to indicate lost health.
+1 for this entire idea. I like the above post’s suggestion, to have the purple dots reflect the amount of health. That would be awesome.
Personally, i wish our iWarden was ground targeted…. Like, it still requires a target, but will summon to the exact spot you place him…. This would make his Projectile shield invaluable, instead of only achieving proper placment maybe 50% of the time…
I understand some people wouldnt care for this (all you people who stink at ground targeting…) so maybe have a GM trait that makes all phantasms ground targetted? id use it. And it wouldnt slow me down at all… i would actually apreciate the ability to position my oh so important phantasms where i see fit… And id love to see their health…
I’ve thought about this and feel that you can just adapt the little circles, have a different colour for phantasms amd have the circles interior change due to health…maybe like a little clock.

I don’t think HP of illusions is needed but if the little circles were a different colour for clones and another colour for phantasms then that would be an improvement.
