Guild Wars 2

So I just got rolled by a mesmer who was killing a yak. Before I engaged, I noticed the yak had a 15 stack of bleed on it and no other conditions besides maybe cripple. I engage, and I have a constant 10 stack of bleeds on me and I keep getting spammed with a skill called “Hunter’s Call”. There were no other people in the area. Any idea what this is? Runes of the Flock?

Runes of the flock won’t produce bleeding. You also say ‘getting spammed’ by it. I take that to mean more than once every 10 seconds, which is the fastest runes of the flock can proc.

I honestly have no idea what that could be.

bleeds can come from illusion crits “sharper images” i think the trait is called and can stack pretty high.

3 gs illusions with high precision give huge amount of bleeding stack. As for Hunter’s Call, I don’t know. Maybe you didn’t see the ranger ?

Could be Rune of the Mad King.

The skill spam could be a glitch. Were there birds?

The bleed is assuredly sharper images trait coupled with perhaps sigil of earth (weapon crit proc)

or it could be that its bugged and the illusions proc it, there for it also applys bleeds from the dueling 3 minortrait

if its so, see the fix coming in a hotfix, meanwhile our class breaking bugs ~

Hunters call in a ranger skill and is often used to stack bleeds to high levels because its 17 small attacks (hense looking a lot like being spammed even though its only 1 attack), meaning it can proc on-crit bleeds many many times (although since mesmers lack the same bleed on crit trait that rangers have, the bleeds probably werent from the Hunters Call but rather the illusions).

As for why a mesmer had it.. All I can imagine is he has it stored from usin Mimic. I dont even know is Mimic can steal Hunters Call, and I nearly never see mesmers us that skill anyway… But it’s not impossible (I dont think).

Runes of the Mad King summon those birds onto everyone nearby.

Never figured out what the hunter’s call ability was, but the major source of bleeding was using pistol 4 and having the bleed on crit with debilitating dissipation and him destroying clones on dodge with sigil of energy. was also using seed turrets for more bleeding.
